Gnabry's move to Bremen is permanent, worth about £7mil. Pity, he really looked like one that could've broken into the first team soon

:( Im gutted hopefully he lives up to his full potential so we can buy him back at a ridiculous fee later ala matic or pogba

Now stop complaining about Le Professor you lot :p

I am extremely vocal in my complaints against him, maybe I've been lulled into a sense of belief in his much vaunted scouting network. But I must say we also saved ourselves a pretty penny seeing only 2 of the 108mil worth of buys from the Bale sale left at their club or Pool being forced to donate balotelli to Nice for free 12-17mil gone.

But then you go waste is by granting your favourites like Giroud a 140k per week contract wtf?

140k a week is almost the standard penny nowdays, besides how many goals has Giroud scored coming off the bench last season? He is worth that atm if you consider, Rooney is getting 250k, Wilfried Bony getting 100k to play bench, Mario Ballotelli getting around 80k a week...

I don't understand the hate for Giroud. He may not be a superstar player but he is a good player and he gives his all to the team and is always wanting to play.

Giroud is my guy. People can criticize him all they like, Arsene is using him wrong. He needs a partner hopefully Perez will fill that role.

i think Perez could do very well....

As long as the Gunners midfield don't try to walk the ball into the net

with perez around we could line up like this

bellerin--------mustafi----kos-------nacho

-----------------xhaka------

--ozil------------Santi---------------sanchez

-------------perez------giroud

were quite flexible with the current squad we can close up shop for tight matches and be super defensive with a pairing of xhaka and coq/elneny and one striker uptop

Just because other players are overpaid doesn't mean we should too.:) The problem is that Wenger gave Theo a massive contract when he went on a short lived scoring patch a few seasons ago, he had months left and was flirting with other clubs, so that's the "benchmark" players at the club look at. If I was Giroud and Arsenal offered me less than f'n Walcott I would be pissed.:p

Then Ozil will go back to his 2014 form. He needs to play number 10 and anyway Wenger will never play 2 up front. I also don't like the idea since we have no backups if they get injured.

If I was in charge I would try a 3-2-3-2 formation. You generally only need one CB on a ST, while one of the DM's can tuck in if another opposition player drifts up top. The other defenders also play as CB's but they play wider, and don't go beyond the half way line. You're less seceptable to conceding counter-attack goals while you still have a lot of players in the final third.
Mustafi Koscielny Holding
Santi Xhaka/Coq
Ramsey/Ox/Theo/Iwobi Ozil Alexis
Giroud Perez

That formation requires our wingers to defend and they don't like doing that. Also Wenger likes using the full backs down the wing.

you've sacrificed width unless you play two wingbacks

That leaves you quite weak from wingers and wing backs attacking

So with the gooners spending about a 100 million, I don't see a signing that exites me tbh. I'm not trying to troll here, but Wenger could have easily bought 2 or 3 world class players which you really needed. Hopefully the new guys will prove everyone wrong.
