So with the gooners spending about a 100 million, I don't see a signing that exites me tbh. I'm not trying to troll here, but Wenger could have easily bought 2 or 3 world class players which you really needed. Hopefully the new guys will prove everyone wrong.
Really 2 or 3. Give some names. I really rate Mustafi and Xhaka not too sure about Perez yet but who was available for that price

Xhaka and Mustafi are awesome buys. A bit pricey, considering Mustafi was originally available for close to £20mil - the transfer saga pushed his fee way higher than it should've been. Can only blame Arsenal for that, though.

Perez I think is about as good as we're going to get for £17mil. To be honest, once a player like Pogba gets signed for £89mil, is any player's valuation really accurate anymore?

Player prices are insane - and became worse as the window moved on.

It's because Xhaka isnt black, so he cant be a good "combative" midfielder, the "midfielder that Arsenal have been crying out for since Viera"......

Mustafi takes number 20 from Flamini, and Lucas will wear number 9, last worn by, er Lucas.

Mediocre players are going for 30m each, which three world class players could Arsenal have bought for 100m?

Judging quality of signings at this point is a bit stupid imo. Basically what you've got to work on is rep and price and we've all seen a lot of these never work out. Lets just give it a few months and see what works and what doesn't.

I still think we've could have handled our transfer window more effectively. Get the players in quicker and settled faster. We've addressed all the areas were we needed to add, which is good, so lets see if it was the right players.

Had a great day out with the Mrs at the Emirates (her first visit to the stadium), watching the Arsenal Legends take on their AC Milan counterparts. The most surprising performer was Kanu, who scored a hat-trick, and was still running around like someone who was possibly 20 years younger, and it was great to see Ljungberg set up Pires for the fourth. Lehmann also managed to save Vieri's penalty, but couldn't keep out the follow up.

It was awesome seeing a few of the players I never had the privilege of watching live: Pires, Ljungberg, Kanu, Overmars (who did his hamstring), Lehmann, Seaman, Petit, Gilberto and Toure. And of course the stalwarts: Keown, Parlour, Winterburn and Dixon (who now has bad knees so couldn't play) as well as the bit-part squad players Grimandi, Cygan, Boa Morte and even Hoyte, and proper old school legend in Limpar. Felt awesome to be there as they turned back the years!

Sadly no Henry, Bergkamp, Wiltord, Gio, Edu or Wright, but I'm sure they'll make an effort next year. ;)

The Foundation was also able to raise £1mil for new pitches in Jordan, Syria, Somalia and North London.

You're a lucky man. Hopefully I'll watch a game in the stadium once in my life.:)

I watched Henry score a 90th minute winner against Man Utd at the Emirates in 2007. It was awesome.

Also watched a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Utd in the FA Cup at Highbury.

I woudl actually like to go and see a proper premiership game one time when I am over.

how did you manage to get your hands on tickets to go see a BPL game?

Watched us go out to Wigan in the League Cup on away goals in 2006 (finished 2-2 at Highbury), then had my first Emirates experience later in the year when we beat Porto 2-0 in the CL group stage.

Fast forward ten years, and seen them beat Sunderland in the FA Cup, and Leicester in the league, both games at Emirates.

Honestly, your only hope as a Gooner to get a seat nowadays is as a member. Starting out, you'll have Red Membership. Basically means you fight with the other Reds for scraps. Arsenal's season-ticket allocation is also ridiculous, and a lot of them would be empty seats (pay a minimum of £1k for an annual seat and don't go? Dafuq?), which is a bonus because you can try get a ticket via ticket exchange - you basically pay anything from £40- £160 to "rent" the season ticket holder's seat for the night. PL tickets sell out within minutes if its a big game, luckily Leicester weren't top of the league at the time I bought the ticket!

I'm a bit pissed I didn't renew my membership - I would've been Silver by now, and probably would've been able to apply for a ticket. I didn't see the point because coming back here wasn't in my plans when I left England 10 years ago. Wish I had - I'm No 84375 in the queue for a season ticket now...

I watched Arshavin down the mighty Swansea 1-0 at the Emirates in September 2011, AMA! :p
