ahh what an average game. We had nothing going forward for some reason, i mean we have the most "creative" midfield possible yet we managed 0 shots on target, thats useless, welbeck seemed to be invisible for most of the game as well as Ozil.
Its strange, we were not terrible but we were not great either, it just shows Chelseas class i guess.
Chambers out for our next game against Hull, so more defensive woes, yay.

Oh well. International break now and maybe we can gather our thoughts again and get 3 points in the next one.

I wonder, though, if Wenger will face any sort of charge for his ill-discipline on the touchline? Had it been Mourinho that acted out that way, the press would be screaming blue murder.

Wenger's post match comments set my brother off proper (he's an Arsenal supporter). First time he's lost faith in Wenger.

"He's totally lost the plot, we're going nowhere with him leading us". This coming from a Wenger zealot up until a few days ago.

Doubt it - he's a "classy" manager

You're crazy if you think that the challenges are the same. Welbeck went in two-footed with his studs up.

Not saying they're similar tackles just that the result should have been the same, red cards for both.

So are you saying Cahill tackle was fine then?

Looks like Arsenal will be fighting for 3rd and 4th place again this season.
First shot on target from Arsenal came in the 90th minute.
I really think its time for Arsenal to start planning a succession to Wenger and his team.

Be that as it may, it he should still have seen red especially when they booked Chambers for Hazard's diving!

I'm not sure which game you watched where you saw diving, but Chambers was lucky that his persistent fouling even after been issued with a yellow was not punished.

I didn't say that Cahill's tackle was at all fine- and he was booked for it. But if you feel that a clumsy tackle is similar to a dangerous, two-footed lunge, then I can't agree with you. Welbeck's tackle was similar to the lunge made my Felipe Melo (who also got incredibly lucky to only see yellow) in your CL game.

^The one where he made a meal out of the slightest contact. Anyhoo, I think it was fairly evenly matched though some of our big name players just didn't turn up.

As others will attest I'm no fan of Chelsea and Mourinho in particular. I'll even say it - I like Arsenal's style for the most part and enjoy watching them play.

But if you think that was an even contest you don't know what you're talking about.

Koscielny had a brain fart and the second goal was just Cesc's brilliance. Even after we went a goal down I still thought that we could equalise. It was only after the second goal that I thought well that's that then.

/edit for shots on target comments
10 - Shots Arsenal had against Chelsea today
0 - Shots on goal by Arsenal against Chelsea today
5 - Shots by Chelsea today
3 - Shots on goal by Chelsea today

Wasn't one of Chel$ki's shot's one goal the penalty?

You did notice how the vine you linked describes the tackle?

"Shocking tackle by Cahill on Sanchez good job his right leg wasn't planted #PremierLeague"

Must be a mistake, someone should really get them to change it to clumsy.

It wasn't a clumsy tackle it was reckless and was deserving of a red card. He went clear over the ball and into the shins of Sanchez. Leg breaking tackle right there.

Welbecks tackle was also deserving of a red card - two footed and studs up.

I don't understand wenger though he claims to not have gone for Fabregas again because we have ozil but then he plays ozil on the wing instead of the playmaker in the centre of park. Exactly where he should be playing.

Wenger needs to wisen up and stop trying to convert expansive playmakers who play in the centre of the park to wingers. He just needs to go out and buy proper wingers.
