Sorry for not wanting to finish 4th every season, sorry for not being OK with a manager who's tactically inept, a manager who doesn't address what needs to be addressed.

I'm a proud member of the WOB and for four straight seasons now, I've had enough.

Btw what's your take on what's going on at the club? Everything the board's fault? Oil Money? Steve Bould? The Stadium debt?

Malcom Glazer :p oh but wait he passed away... so I blame SAF for retiring :p

Here's something else you can add, Gunner: Polski arrived at Inter early hours of this morning to sign for them. Good thing AW let him go and decided to keep Akpom and Sanogo instead. That's some top, top management right there.

Honestly, I'm happy for Lukas. He's a great player, with a great strike rate. He'll do well in Italy. For some un****ingbelievable reason, Wenger just decided to NEVER play him (and when he did, he scored - go figure).

Doesn't look like Podolski will be returning to Arsenal after his loan term with Inter. He's posted a farewell message on Facebook that gives the impression that he won't be coming back sigh.

La Fraud is quick to ship players off when the squad is thin, but refuses to do any real business in the window. This is the man who said he wants the January transfer window abolished! He's taking the f**king piss.

I'm not an Arsenal fan but there is something to be said for 20? consecutive years in the Champions League, no?
Yeah it's always 4th, 4th, 4th, etc, etc. But the flip-side to that is I think to be careful what you wish for.
Someone else comes in and the club goes south in terms of point totals. What then? Probably be wishing Wenger was still there.

Well I really don't understand Arsenal was in the running to win the league last year - it was their best year but they blew it half way when Ramsey got injured... Arsene Wenger has been right not to blow crazy money - considering he might not be able to or the owners aren't willing to part with the profits - no one knows.

The last 2 seasons AW has bought in

2013
Oezil
Héctor Bellerín
Kim Källström
Mesut Özil
Emiliano Viviano
André Santos

2014
Danny Welbeck
Calum Chambers
David Ospina
Mathieu Debuchy
Alexis Sánchez
Joel Campbell

That's 2 and 1/2 big names and tons of potential going forward, yes coming 4th or 3rd isn't exactly what you want but when it mattered the players got injured, didn't perform etc... Can you seriously blame the coach?

I would have rather we stuck with SAF and come 4th instead of putting Moyes in place and end up 7th breaking all sort of records along the way

As I've said in several posts previously, what exactly is the point of being in the competition if you have no intention of winning it? You can't seriously think that the team we register every year is capable of actually going all the way? Sure, the money's nice, but we rarely spend it every season on quality players - the very players that will progress us. Other teams qualify year in and year out, too, and spend, spend, spend, because they actually want to win.

Us? Playing in the CL is pointless. All it does is unnecessarily raise our expectations, and force our already depleted squad to play more pointless games. If we get a different manager, someone with actual drive and a real vision for the club - someone who will "spend the ****ing money" - then we can start getting some excited about Europe again. It's just not going to happen with Arsene, I'm afraid.

This.

I was about write something similar, refreshed the page and wala!

Just to add though. When we're old and grey, no ones gonna look back and talk about how Arsenal were in the CL for 20 consecutive seasons. No, they're gonna talk about how Barca, Bayern, "Liverpool", Real Madrid etc, dominated.

On the injuries. I blame that solely on Arsene Wenger and his training methods. Too many people have come out and critised it for it to be a myth. How do you explain the duration of time Arsenal Players are out due to injury? No other team in the league has that problem and it's season after season.

Re: injuries. I'm certain any other manager would've at least attempted to do something when for like 10 years in a row, key squad members disappear every November (usually). It's not like our injury crisis is new. It's just that this season seems to be the worst. Our only saving grace is that Sanchez hasn't broken down (yet). AW has pretty much come out and said that except for Ospina starting tomorrow, he has to take the same 18 players that went to Southampton, because he literally has no-one else. Could you even IMAGINE something like that EVER happening at a club like Chelsea?! If it even showed signs of ever happening people would start getting sacked, guaranteed. They have a manager who doesn't take **** from anyone, and an owner with an even lower tolerance level. Us? Meh. We don't know what causes the injuries, but whatever - let's just hope our players come back, and let's not spend any money reinforcing our squad when it was quite clear that we don't have a capable defence, and ageing central/defensive midfielders.

We also have Diaby, who is like a new signing - every year. But only for a week. Then he's ****ed again.

Yes, a new manager might not be the immediate solution. I'm an Arsenal fan(atic). I know "transition" like the back of my hand. I know all about trying to "build a team for tomorrow" focused on bringing up youth players. But tomorrow still hasn't come. I'll gladly get behind whoever takes over. People try use SAF and Moyes as examples, and they really can't be compared at all. SAF was a winner right until he retired. He didn't fail for 10 years (bar a lucky FA Cup) and then leave. AW was great. He did amazing things (as I've said over and over again). But it's in the past.

As much as I hate Maureen, he's a natural winner. He fights every single game to WIN (sometimes he'll park the bus, but it gets him the result he wants). There are LOADS if managers like him - managers that CARE. AW? He just shook his head when Southampton scored their first. That's all he ever does (except fight with the 4th official).

I shouldn't be, but I'm actually worried about the game tomorrow. I'm really not confident that we can go out there, at home, and get a convincing result against HULL.

So who do you replace Wenger with then?

So who do you replace Wenger with then?

Klopp, De Boer, Simeone, Koeman, Martinez, Vieira (!) to name a few. We've given AW an £8mil contract - funding a top manager isn't a problem. We have him (and the players recently) going on about how much potential the squad has - so the new manager will have the basic tools that he can add to, and mould to whatever system he introduces. Ironically, we also have the lure of the CL year after year - a new manager may come in and say "hey, let's see if we can go all the way" - that'd be something new and exciting already!

I don't expect overnight success. Our best ever manager gave us glory after a year in charge (a double, no less), but we've been stuck in mediocrity for a decade - I can wait a couple more years for the new manager to get it right, no problem.

A new manager may actually be able to sign a couple of big players in a season. I've seen a lot of players that we've been interested suddenly get signed by another team. It may have been more money in the end, but I suspect sometimes they see our name and think "oh ffs..." A new guy in charge may change the club's image. At the moment, we're turning into Liverpool (no offence, scousers) relying too much on what was to bring us joy, and not at all on where we are, or importantly, how we're going to get where we need to be. A new guy won't focus on the past - he'll get stuck into the moment, and push for the future.

I'm worried about every game we play now. This is what we have become, a mid table team and the majority of the fans have come to accept this. It grinds my gears when I hear fans say "I'll take a point" against teams in the bottom half of the table. We're the Arsenal ffs!!

The reality however is that Arsene Wenger will not leave anytime soon if fans don't start to wake up and I fear that they won't. You should see the vile tweets from the AKBs to Podolski. It's sickening and just shows to what lengths these clowns will go to defend Dear Leader.

Poldi thanked the fans on his Facebook and instagram. And the REAL fans thanked him for his time at the club. I'm not sure what all the haters are on about - I havent seen him say anything negative about the club or the supporters at all. Besides, he's still employed by the club (for now).

I'm gonna miss the guy (and that left boot).

Nice to see our fringe players getting a good run out, and a result. A clean sheet is something nice, too. Onward to the 4th round!

Man city looking to buy a new shiny striker coz three of theirs are injured. Then on the other hand our manager asks the question of what do you do with them when all are fit. One is throwing money to win and the other is looking for more profits. We will never dominate anything for as long as this continues and if we do win something it would be a once off thing

Bit harsh to say "throwing". Investing is a better word IMO. And I would think that City will end up offloading one of their current strikers at the end of the season- FFP as well as squad balance would most likely dictate it.

I wouldn't mind Mourinho taking a punt on Jovetic, if he is for sale... We will need another striker come the next season.

Nice to be able to have names like Jovetic on your shopping list. Meanwhile, we're just sitting here having bids for 17-year olds being turned down.

Oh to be a Gooner...

Wenger's obsession with footballing potential. He should become academy director for Arsenal.
