Possibly our best performance this season, and we never really found top gear. Walcott and Özil getting runs out was a bonus, and yet another clean sheet with Ospina in goal? Hope he stays there.

great game yesterday Sanchez, Rosicky, Chambo and Cazorla should playing together more often. I think Wenger should keep these 11 (Bellerin needs more starts too).

Had a feeling we were going to win well. I say we will do fairly well for the rest of Jan and use that as reason not to bring anyone in and then come feb start playing poorly again

I'm thinking along similar lines tbh. People start coming back again, and we start looking like a more stable Arsenal... and then freak accidents start happening again: a dislocated shoulder that requires surgery for sliding into an advertising board? IS HE MADE OF GLASS?! Seriously, they just don't make 'em like they used to. When Kos got crunched, I thought "oh here we go, out for the rest of the season". But luckily, he just ran it off for a change.

What impressed me the most was our ability to stand up to a physical, orcish side like Stoke for once. Sure, we weren't really able to match them physically, but we didn't let them bully us like we usually do. And we got stuck in, too.

I know I like to complain, but this was the best we've played all season. Back to front we were terrific. Alexis Sanchez is an inspiration, probably Wenger's best buy since Henry.

Now we need to buy at least two defenders this window. Debuch out, now time to invest so we can go on a cup run.

It also has to do with the fact that Stoke are actually trying to play football under Hughes.

+1 to all. We did really well. We honestly only need defenders and a dm. now that our guys are coming back we have a very lethal midfield and front line.

Let's hope we build on this.

Maybe cause we weren't playing with a makeshift backline? Sanchez is the shizniz.

Sure seems like it. Dat Crouch run through on goal! They're still ****ing dirty, though.

Let's not kid ourselves. He's jumbled that defense around a hell of a lot already, and will probably continue to do so: Chambers, afaik, is still around, and knowing Wenger, if push comes to shove we'll probably see Walcott at RB, "because he's a little bit quick down the flank".

I must say I'm steadily becoming a fan of the Coq: would much rather see him on the field than Flamini at the moment.

As @WengerKnowsBest might put it: "Look, just because I'm hungry, and lunch is available, doesn't mean I have to eat it. Unless top, top quality lunch becomes available, then maybe"

I don't mind us getting Bielik (sp?) - he'll be great in a few years, after having been loaned out to 11 different clubs. And then we'll sell him to Barca for £30mil. AW said he's actively trying to sign two players. Hopefully this lad wasn't one of them
