It's been my assertion all along that arsenal's fate is in their own hands.
Chelsea have a proven record of dropping points against lesser opposition and united don't do well against the bigger ones. There are still lost of stumbling blocks along the way for the teams in the race for the championship.

Yeap, its why i said we musn't panic... showed composure, played well (left liverpool with a few good positions, one very similar to the 2nd united goal but they didnt take it) but we won, most important bit!

I hate Arsenal , now we kinda back in it again :( why cant we just be in it and win or just be out and come 3rd. Atleast we won which is nice for a change :) ... as for liverpool, eish good luck with securing that 4th spot, im rooting for tottenham, villa or everton for that spot.

Arsenal played brilliantly last night. There was a desire in the team that I have not seen for quite some time. Gallas, Vermaelen Almunia and Arshavin were outstanding. Playing with Bendtner leading the attack definitely adds an extra dimension to our game that we've been lacking since we lost Van Persie.

Er...no you not

a nice run in of fixtures - only real difficult contests left are Man City, Tottenham .

If Arsenal implode over the remainder of the season - then they sure as hell deserve what thye end up with - nothing.

Remember you guys are six points behind and still have to play the likes of Stoke, Wolves, Sunderland....

Stoke and Wolves - problems, lol - Sunderland is struggling as well.

Maybe Mick McCarthy will do Arsenal the same favour he did united and leave his 1st team behind.

Both Sunderland and Wolves are at the Emirates

Playing a side fighting to stay in the premier league is never easy, but this season Arsenal have disposed of the lesser sides quite easily.

Chel$ki and Utd still have to play each other so points will be dropped there. Pressue is on them two, not Arsenal.

Van Persie is due back sooner than expected. Could get very interesting.

Looking forward to the City game in April. Ade****yor best be worried.

Arsenal have a tendency to dispose of these teams earlier in the season but then comes the implosion...

Last season the Arsenal lost ONE game between December and April in the Premier League. If you consider this an "implosion", then I look forward to it ;)

And where did they end up again.....

Irrelevant :p Arsenal had a shoddy start to the season mmkay.

Your point was Arsenal beat the lesser sides early in the season and then implode, but recent stats say otherwise. Next...

it matters not now - if only Arsene was not as averse as sir alex to buy £18-27 mil squad players thne the situtaion might have been different.

But I truly believe the pain suffered now will come in handy later on when arsene has moved on and the spending limitations are lifted slightly and the debt burden finally catches up with the rest.

they may not have lost between Dec/Apr but:

Middlesbrough 1 1
West Ham United 0 0
Sunderland 0 0
Fulham 0 0

this is what I meant - they dont dispose of the lesser teams
