erm guys you too over sensitive on the situation...

you can clearly see it's a 50/50 ball... Ramsey got the ball away Shawcross wanted to put the ball forward and connected, he never did it on purpose, he even went over to apologise, if it was intented then he wouldn't have cared...

Lol break another players leg, and get rewarded for a National call up :D

That is a really bad injury... When i saw it first time thought it was late, didn't think it was that bad. To be fair i dont think it was intended at all. Shawcross broke into tears after he saw what he had done. I just hope Ramsey can play again. I've seen much worse and players walk away just bruised.

Feel sorry for the young lad. It was a 50/50 challenge, you can't blame shawcross who's a young lad too. He was shattered after he realized what he done.

Wenger should hang his head in shame. His comments were out of line. I like Wenger, but his "everyone is against Arsenal" attitude is getting tired now.

Couldn't agree more. Horrible injury but not a horrible tackle. Take away the injury and it's a yellow card and nothing more. It's not like you get sent off because an injury results. Wenger's ridiculous comments once again (as was the case with Eduardo) took away almost all the sympathy I might have had.

Please can you point out, whats out of line?
On Aaron Ramsey's injury...
"I would like to say that it was a committed game. I didn't see many bad tackles in the game. But this one was horrendous and I am very sad. I am proud of my team today and sad as well because to lose a player of that quality at 19 years of age when he is just starting his career is just horrendous. It is difficult to accept.

"He is the third player we have lost to tackles that are not acceptable - Abou Diaby, Eduardo and now Ramsey today. That is not football for me and I refuse to live with that.

"I cannot do anything about it. The players are professional they have to respect the rules and each other. The players who don't do it have to be punished. Ramsey is a young, fantastic talent."

3 horrendous leg breaks in 4 years, im sorry but everyone does come out to kick Arsenal, no one can deny that ofcourse Shawcross didnt intend to break Ramseys leg, or Taylor on Eduardo, but the tackles were reckless..

Teams do come out and kick Arsenal more than most others. If you watched that champions league game against Porto they started putting up stats of how many times Fabregas was fouled. I really think refs need to start talking more to players when they consistently foul players. Watching this cup final now, and he has not been scared to pull out the yellow cards... Keeping players in check.

Managers of the likes of Stoke, Brimingham, Hull, Bolton have all said proudly and publicly that the way to beat the Arsenal is to rough them up. They send this message down to their players and then we have situations like we had yesterday and two years ago at Birmingham. I don't believe there was malice in Shawcross' tackle, but it was certainly wreckless. This could have been a result of that toss Pulis' pre match banter.

I feel Shawcross needs to get a longer ban here. The FA needs to send out a message with regard to wreckless tackles. They will not be tolerated. Shawcross will be playing for England against Egypt while Ramsey will be sitting in a hospital bed for weeks followed by months of rehabilitation. Whats wrong with the picture here?

So you don't feel sympathy for a 19 yr old who's had his leg broken? Okay then.
Try deny that 3 leg breaks in 4 years is a coincidence then. That teams don't go out to to rough Arsenal up and this is the price that is paid. Because that is all Wenger said. But it's hard taking off your rose-tinted glasses isn't it?

For the record Shawcross broke Jeffers' ankle from behind 2 years ago and got into a lot **** then as well. Last year he took out Adebayor with a cynical studs up challenge on his ankle outside the field of play and he was subsequently out for 3 weeks. Now he's had a fast and high reckless challenge which has ended in another broken leg. Bear in mind he's only 22 and still relatively new to the game.
Players careers have been ruined by injuries like that. Let's just hope Ramsey recovers.

And read up, reckless challenges that end up with terrible injuries ARE red cards. The FA do actually take injuries into account.

Edit: I just reread this "the case with Eduardo"? Please don't tell me you think he was going for the ball there? That was a frankly disgusting challenge that no human being can excuse. God knows what your reaction would've been if someone like Rooney had been at the end of it. Actually I'd love to know what you'd say in the heat of the moment when you've just seen someone close to you have their foot dangling from the rest of their leg by only its skin because some thug wanted to make a statement. Scrap that, in the future just keep quiet.

What a bizarre comment? How do you take away an injury - you mean if he'd missed?
Shawcross may have not meant Ramsey no harm, but after realising he'd lost the ball he lunged at Ramsey without thinking and that's how the injury occurred!
