Haha, its basically like this. Huge game comes up, I say that we are going to win, and it doesn't turn out that way. Naive to think my psyche has a direct affect on the manager and team!

Great match though, I enjoyed it. If Koscielny didn't foul their player in the box (which had nothing to do with Mertesacker getting the flick on.) that would've been a goal for Ramsey. Cazorla's strike could've gone in. I think it is difficult bringing players to our superstar line-up, ie Cazorla and Arteta. We were unbalanced playing Arteta next to Flamini in the west brom game, and we missed Flamini last night. Arteta to me is an attacking player that has adapted his play to playing defensively leaving him in a zone where he doesn't have a refined game. It costs us.
On Cazorla, he misplaced quite a few passes, and coming in to a game of that high level and intensity is a massive ask.

Let's not forget, Dortmund cleaned up most of Europe when they played them. They beat Bayern on their days and could be considered the best team in the world. I think it is encouraging that our team felt that they could find the winner, but Dortmund really took their counterattacking opportunity for the Lewandowski goal. I'm confident going in to the next match - and I'm sure if the team can lose to Aston Villa on the opening day with death in the air and bounce back - this will just be a speed bump. COYG!
Let's not forget to the Liverpool fans that took joy in us losing - they are **** and not in the UCL and probably nevr will be. United are **** and won't be there next season. Man ****ty were destroyed by Dortmund last year... So COYG!

Arteta is really dead weight ATM we should invest in a solid defensive midfielder and sent him on his way

He's not exactly dead weight. He plays a massive part off the field - settling in Podolski, Giroud, Santi, and Monreal. He's unofficially the club captain - he's getting old and losing a stride on the ball, but he is still important to have around. I think there is still more to come from him, cause he's only had like 4 games back from injury. He has Flamini there in the defensive role, and Ramsey is an outstanding tackler, so we have cover for him when he doesn't play. Wenger obviously sees something in him and he'll persist until whatever he sees comes out. So just need everyone to get behind him.

There opener was a mistake by Ramsey, maybe a little over confident trying to play out from there. Our goal also came from a defensive error on their side.

Dortmund played well for most part of the game and probably deserved to win. We ended strong, which makes the timing of there winner so dissapointing.

I've said the test for this team will be how they deal with nights like last night. They need to bounce back. Palace might be a great chance to do just that.

The group is wide open now, unfortunately.

First big test for the gooners and they failed. Don't want to hear ifs and buts. Fact is you lost against classy team. Same old gooners huffing and puffing with no result. Next 5 games against palace away, Chelsea home, Liverpool home, dortmund away and Man U away will determine the gooners season. Will definitely not be top after those games

Oh, thought the big test was Tottenham, oh wait.. No it was Napoli.. Oh another one?

The fact is Liverpool is a small club and we will beat them, not even how we regularly beat them. We will beat them easily.

It's called facts buddy. gooners got a long way to go before you classified as a title contender.
beating you guys at the emirates will be so sweet.

Inconsistencies with your theory:
1. City won the EPL and were knocked out in group stages.
2. United were beaten by a team (Real Madrid) that were destroyed by Dortmund and won the EPL.
3. Chelsea finished 5th in the EPL, but won the UCL.

Then again, we are all level in points in our group. We beat the team (Napoli) that beat Dortmund that beat us.
There are more factors than having eleven footballers in football.

What the professionals say:
1. Fabio Capello: I think Bayern and Barca were favourites for the UCL, from England, I like Arsenal.
2. Mourinho: With Ozil, Arsenal are title contenders.
There are many, many more people that have spoken about the incredible talent that they have been privileged to watch.

Liverpool fans shouldn't be petulantly commenting about Arsenal though as Arsenal are going for 1st place and Liverpool are going for 4th. I support you guys all the way to finish fourth. Now support us in our league.

Oh by the way if Liverpool played Dortmund last night, they would have lost at least 5 - 0 with 70% possession to Dortmund.

I know.

I just find it strange that you can have a decent discussion with everybody that frequents this sub-forum. Literally everyone, with the exception of one.

you cannot compare spurs and napoli with dortmund
concentrate on your own team, rather then a big club like lfc. i know it hurts when you have to compete a team like the gooners.

When asked if Liverpool were title contenders, a smirk built up on Arsene Wengers face. As he tried to speak, he began to laugh. His laughter erupted into the audience of journalists. It was so ridiculous, that after wiping away his tears the journalist apologized for asking such a silly question.

Just kidding, the above is OBVIOUSLY fictitious.. Why would anyone in their right mind ask if Liverpool were contenders? :D
