Nice to have a game between Liverpool and Arsenal that's actually a top of the table clash. :D

Since it's home, I would like to see a win for us.

Difficult one to predict, but I'll be dissapointed with anything but a win for us.

I think your guys midfield will boss ours but I don't see Mert and Kos keeping Suarez and Sturridge out. Should be a great game to watch!

Not to fussed about tonight. Hope we give the youngsters a run out. Won't be too dissapointed if we lose.

That said, Bendtner hatric anyone. :p

Damn shame that we missing Flamini for the coming matches.. Damn shame..

We haven't lost a game with him in our team since March 2008.

Anyway, Liverpool do not have a chance in hell of beating us. The whole Suarez leaving them for us will shrowd the atmosphere and they'll know they the underdogs. 3 points Arsenal.

As for Tonights game, not too fussed win or lose, it'll be good for the clubs confidence and esteem to get a win.. Maybe we'll see some Gnabry magic!

Awesome knock-out!
From the picture:
Arsenal: A young Hoyte, a young Diaby, and fringe player Julio Baptista...
Chelsea: John Terry and Michael Ballack.

I remember we almost won it that year with Walcotts goal.. Mourinho always had Didier Drogba to whip in a goal or two every match.

Who watched the game? Is the 2-0 scoreline as bad as it sounds? I for one am a bit pissed we let chelski beat us, regardless of the team wenger put out.

It just makes all those pundit c##$@ correct, "Arsenal will never be in contention unless they can beat the big teams" and so far, Borussia and Chelski have taught us a lesson. Lets hope we can kick the snot out of liverpool this weekend, but with Saurez and Sturridge... its going to be a pretty hectic affair.

Both teams had very changed squads. Defensive error for their first goal, but otherwise not much going on. Mata scored a great second goal.

We had Ozil and Giroud on at the end, but it was a little to late. On the night they had more fire power. Hopefully we can give them a better run when we face them in the league.

Ultimately, we were hungrier, had the better game plan and the depth shone through in the end. Arsenal didn't really trouble us, and never controlled the game.

Ozil came in at 63 minutes, Giroud at 67 minutes. The 2nd goal was at 66 minutes. A little too late? I don't think so. Arsenal were poor (just one shot on target) and didn't threaten Chelsea's second team.

Would it be fair to say that Arsenal dont really have a second team....squad wise?

Relax guys. You've got a bigger squad, it showed. Congratulations.

Meh. It just showed once again that Bendtner (disinterested), Ryo (be better!) and especially Jenkinson (dat school boy) will never be 1st XI material. Jenkinson's mistake was beyond noobish, and effectively cost us the game - it was downhill all the way when we went 0-1 down. The second goal was a good strike, though: not much we could do about that. It just goes to show how far Chel$ki's infinite wealth goes: their 2nd string would make most EPL sides' starting line-up any day. I reckon we missed Flamini more than anyone tbh. His stats are immense: only 2 games lost out of the last 52 that he's played for us. I think Lego Hair would've made a difference, too. Ozil is great, but we need to reinforce in January. They don't need to be of the same level as his, but just a lot better than the three I already mentioned.

Anyway, it's a blessing in disguise to be knocked out: we can't afford anymore injuries, and this just means a lot less games for our already incredibly thin squad to try and get through. As far as people saying we can't get past the "big" sides? The team Chel$ki put out played against our make-shift side - it was hardly a "test" or a "big" game. We'll beat the crap out of their 1st XI with ours any day.

Diaby wasn't there to kick David Luis in the face, other than that we're just missing Theo and Ox.

Injuries isn't so bad at the moment.

Or Flamini (only back after the Dortmund game maybe - wtf?! Bet Liverpool are breathing a sigh of relief), Arteta, Poldi, BFG (rested), Szczesny, Bacy, Gibbo, etc. Our first team would've twatted them, and not conceded.
