Actually have to thank you guys for that. It was the wake-up call that AFC needed badly. We may not have won anything, but we've been improving ever since. You also beat us 6-1 a few seasons before, and we ended up becoming The Invincibles.
And yeah, we've ALL criticised the team, the manager and board. But you know what? The backlash after the Villa game turned that around - they went out and bought Özil and signed Flamini - a move that went a long way in repairing the image of the club. We're a better, stronger club now. And the players we all judged and ridiculed have all come good this season.
Anyone who says they love Arsenal but can say with a straight face they didn't think a player like Ramsey had been utter rubbish until this season, is simply full of ****, and not a true Gooner. Play badly, we get upset. Play well, and we're happy. If that isn't what a fan's supposed to do, then I'm not sure.
I've been a Gooner through the ok, the good, the very good, The Invincibles, the ok, the utter ****, and now, finally, the good again. We've waited a really long time for our great club to start showing signs of its full potential again. Let's enjoy our moment in the sun.
And the tests? Seriously, how many more are there? Is Man Utd another one? We'll go there, and we'll beat them. Or we won't. We've lost to mid-table teams in the past, and moved on.
