and it's driving me absolutely mad this season. So many decisions giving incorrectly and it's costing teams points in a major way.

Yeah, Its infuriating. You watch a game and you see decision x not given but in the next game the decision is given.

I understand that it's irritating that the refs are inconsistent, but the players are not making it easier on the refs either.

yep, also refs have to make a decision in a split second, we have the benefits of replays and analysis. I wish football players behaved live rugby players. You would never dare see a group of rugby players surrounding a referee regarding a decision.

They should make it a rule, like in rugby that only the captains are allowed to speak to the referee.

Nice win last night. Don't think we played at our best, but Marseille was poor for most of the game. Nice to see Jack score. As I've said previously, he has been improving steadily since his comeback. More to come I hope.

12 points in the group and we're not through. #groupofdeath

Yah it's crazy. We have IMO qualified though, and most probably top. I really don't see use losing 3-0, or losing at all. Will probably be quite an intense and nervy game

This is the way I understand it.

Lets assume Dortmund wins. Then we need at least a draw to go top with 13 points.

If we lose it basically boils down to by how much.

If we lose by 1 goal: We finish first if we manage to score 3 or more goals in the game.

If we lose 2-3 it gets even more complicated.

If we lose by 2 goals: We finish second in the Group behind Dortmund

If we lose by 3 goals: We are out.

This seems all extremely complicated. Lets just hope for a draw. :p

Here is the tie-breaker rules just for interest sake.

1) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;

2) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;

3) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;

4) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;

5) If, after applying criteria 1) to 4) to several teams, two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1) to 4) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the two teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 6) to 8) apply;

6) superior goal difference from all group matches played;

7) higher number of goals scored from all group matches played;

8) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as its association, over the previous five seasons.

We're in the process if tryinvg to tie up BFG. Sign him up! In the last 5 or so games, we've only conceded 1 goal (vs United) - and he wasn't playing. He's been immense this season.

I'm glad you are being realistic that you not going to win the title. It will be City or Chelsea.
Enjoy the ride while you can
