What is wrong with Eboue?! You are away, the opponent pulls you back a bit and you feel the need to reach BACK and slap him instead of continuing your run! This boy has zero grey matter... The decision making was rather poor from Arsenal. We need new full backs... Rosicky was probably the #1 culprit in terms of always picking the wrong options. And it looks like since his injury, Diaby is reverting to type!

Eboue always has been a bit dumb, but the Barca player really over dramatized it, for such a great team they spend alot of time rolling around after the smallest contact

Alves is such a chop, always hated him

To be honest, the squad we had out there last night was not a squad that could beat Barca at the Nou Camp. I can't help thinking if we had a fully fit squad, things may have been different. Rosicky had a shocker, Nasri was nowhere to be seen, Silvestre is way passed his best. We really missed Song. Denilson did not quite do the CDM job.

Was not impressed by Barca's constant acting when a legitimate tackle was made on them. Constantly trying to con the ref. I can recall Denilson pulling off a fantastic tackle on Messi, and then Messi rolling around like he had just been tackled by Martin Taylor or Ryan Shawcross. Poor showing from Barca in that respect.

I think we played better (or Barca played worse) last night than we did at the Emirates. The difference was quite obviously Messi. He was fantastic last night and his finishing was world class. I am quite tempted to see if I can organise an Argentina game for the SWC to watch him play.

Barca were the better team and we were well beaten. I've made my peace with it, and wish Barca the best of luck for the rest of the competition. If you come across United in the final, even though I am hoping Bayern finish them off tonight, please give them another klap like you did last year.

There goes Messi's reputation for not faking it...

That tackle was clean as a daylight Messi tries to kick the ball after it was gone then lands on the guy but rolls around like he was hit buy a bus...

Typical of you guys to make a big deal about a tackle instead of the most amazing performance so far in the Champions League.

If you want more praise for Barca, which plenty has been given already, go look elsewhere. This is the Arsenal thread, not Barca. The "fouls" of Bendtner on Alves and Denilson on Messi were laughable. We can rant about it.

Boom. Headshot.

don't pay too much attention to Cantera. He is a Messi/Barca licker of the highest order. 4 goals against a mediocre (at best) defence isn't anything Barca need to shout about. There were chances for Arsenal even at 3-1 in the match to win it - I feel with a full squad we might have run Barca closer - but I think over 2 legs they were much better and you have to hold your hands up to that

Messi, is a good player - but if you give him time and space on the ball like most teams have done, he will show you he is not good but great. We should have/could have done more - but I think the attitude was to play our own game and not worry too much about theirs. The whole week we heard Pep speak about the dangers his opposition were - AW spoke rather about how dangerous we could be. I think perhaps altho the scoreline was just over 2 legs, we will look back knowing we had chances to at least scare barca into submission when we had them fretting in small spells.

No complaints from me - with the squad he had over 2 legs - we did our best and clearly it wasn't going to be enough and i don't think anyone can fault us for trying. Like i said, even at 3-1, we still believed we could do it and played our game with what we had.

yeah, we are getting it from all angles, every headline is Messi massacres Arsenal, blah blah
every man united fan at work is reminding us (though we'll get revenge tomorrow!)
every radio dj has had something to say, even the bucktoothed anele on 5fm felt the need to chip in her worthless 2 cents

and ofcourse all the facebook status updates from people hearing of messi for the first time

Yea annoying as hell, but 5 is the only neutral radio station :(
and shes only slightly worse than Sasha, who also probably went home to get messi's name tattooed on his ass, right next to the ferrari logo, after the way he was carrying on earlier

just read that AW is thinking about spending some cash in the summer. what good that does talking about it now, i have no idea. we need more of that ''i believe in this team'' stuff as opposed to ''we need to be stronger to compete'' however true that may be.

make no mistake, if we play a low tempo, careless game at the lane next wednesday, we would get rolled over as per last night. the spuds are a horrible bunch of muppets - but they will be looking for revenge for us stuffing them at the grove - and we wont have cesc on our side this time.

a loss to the lilly white ****s would be tragic, not only because it will end our chances for the title, but we havent lost to them in the league in how many years now? 12? they just lost to sunderland, we lost to the best team in the world, it should be a very different game, and hopefully the lil russian will be back, oh and possibly, one robin van persie :D and hopefully song

cant wait to see Sol's reception at ****e hart lane :D

it looks like the chamakh deal is done and dusted though

i do remember that Isias chappy, who then went on to play for Coventry a season later but turned out to be passed it.

anyone else think Rosicky looked a combination of Eddie McGoldrick and Glenn Helder with the 1st touch of Gus Caesar? or am I being a bit harsh?
