Missed the second, let me guess Fabianski missed one of Paul Robinsons big ones, or punched straight to a defender? Can't believe he is still playing. Have to play Mannone in the last one! Rather play the womens team first team keeper ahead of Fabianski.

Fabianski made some fantastic saves though, hes just crap at corners, too scared to commit, come out and clear the ball no matter what, funnily enough its the same problem Almunia has, maybe the problem is with the goal keeping coach and not just the keepers..

Wd. from wat i saw it was quite a even game, arsenal had a lot of the ball, but couldn't get it into the box. Only RVP was looking threatening.

Wouldnt really call it even, Blackburn defended with 10 men most of the game, at home, but fair play, for once the fat walrus's tactics actually worked, but he was aided by some shocking goal keeping.. and yea the fact silvestre was laughing after almost scored an own goal shows how seriously they taking these final games since they have nothing to play for...except pride.. diaby played okay as a cdm but hes so much better on attack.. Where was Bendtner? Wenger giving some of his WC players a rest? (Bendtner/Song)

Hope City win on weds... Can prob tie up 3rd on GD then...

We'll beat Fulham at home... they'll probably field their reserves so not to risk any players getting injured before the Europa cup final..

"Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to blame goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski for his side's 2-1 defeat at Blackburn, choosing instead to accuse Rovers of "unfair" tactics and blaming referee Martin Atkinson for not providing the Gunners with more protection."

Blackburn, or Fat Sam for that matter, do make use of spoiling tactics. And I do believe Fabianksi was fouled in both Blackburn goals.

Another bad result for Arsenal. This has really been a horror end to what looked like a promising season not so long ago. Hoping for a draw tomorrow so we can secure 3rd place and end this season. Our midfield was shoking. How Wenger does not want to strengthen our midfield is a mystery.

P.s. Where were Bendtner, Song, Rosicky, Clichy last night?

Guessing he wanted to have a good look at Eduardo/Vela/Traore before he sells them

Fabianski doesn't know how to command a box. A goal keeper is actually allowed to come through players to get a ball, its unlikely the ref is going to blow for a penalty if he come over a player to catch a ball. Did it once yeseterday and he hurt is knee... How I was hoping they took him off for Mannone.

Tarantula, i haven't seen their second goal... but I think their was minimal contact on the first one, and I think it was too soft for the ref to give a free kick. Everyone is trying to win a ball, if Fabianski really wanted that he should have been jumping through Roberts not letting him back into him. Bad goal keeping, really need to look at Mannone in the last game and see if he is a suitable number 2, cos Fabianski isn't!

I think our midfield is quite strong, maybe 1 more player is needed... but we need to concentrate on defense more. He played a much weaker midfield yesterday. Ideally we would have Fab, Ramsey, Wilshere as the centres with Nasri Rosicky Arsharvin and Walcott doing the wide work and Song holding. Probably only really needs another holder, as Diaby isn't really able to get stuck in like Song. Eboue is quite a good player and since he can go forward and play RB as well I think we should hang onto him (unless we get like a 5 mil offer for him).

I agree on all fronts regarding Fabianski's incompetence. How many more chances is AW going to give him? I've said that Almunia and Fabianksi must get the boot in the coming transfer window, but I suspect it will just be Almunia. Hopefully Wojciech Szczęsny will be ready for premier league football soon. That kid looks a great prospect.

What's happened to Diaby? So much promise at the beginning of the season, gets injured & returns a new (worse) player!

Diaby by no means is a holding midfielder he only seems to play well when he plays just behind the striker. It's funny how both Goal keepers took 4 steps back since mid last season. People where tipping Almuinia to be the England goalkeeper at the start of the previous season and since then slowing getting worse and worse. The problem Almunia is mental I for 1 am not prepared to wait any longer for him to get his **** in order, he has been given enough time and failed. What is needed is a goalkeeper, a big 6 foot+ versatile CDM that can also play CB if needed, an out and out CB, a pacey striker and maybe a left winger theres not enough pace playing on the left wing

"I thought he had a good game," Wenger said, apparently being serious, before blaming referee Martin Atkinson. "I think he had no chance as a goalkeeper, he was pushed every time. I'm very disappointed that he let that happen in the football game. It is unfair to the goalkeeper. They did it well and they do it well but you feel that you have to give more protection to the goalkeeper. When you jump in the air and you are unbalanced then what can you do?

"I think they were fouls on both goals, every time they wanted to stop the keeper from getting the ball. They had two players whose only purpose was to stop him. When you stop the keeper from getting the ball then it is a foul." And what of Fabianski's already wafer-thin confidence now? "It should affect the confidence of the referee not him."

Allardyce waited long and hard before responding to the question in the post-match briefing about what Wenger had said about his team. He decided to take the diplomatic approach, regardless of what he was feeling and backed his side's muscular approach, saying: "My response to that is if you pinpoint the opposition's weaknesses enough then eventually they will be exposed. And the amount of balls into the box to the keeper who has been a weak link was my main tactic and it has paid off today. We beat them fair and square and the ref did not see them as fouls."

"I'm not overly concerned about what Arsène says, he has said it before. It was a tactic that worked well. I prefer him criticising me and us winning than praising me and us losing."

haven't seen much of him of late, but Buffon is available and wants a move to england. He has the much needed presence in a gk which we currently do not have.

Buffon would rather join United than Arsenal... Juve are currently like Arsenal have the quality but can't win jack...

Look, if he feeds that strongly he must go... Don't really want someone moping around on the field in big games cos he rather be else where. I think we should be able to cash in on him if he is keen to go.

Goal.com has a habit of taking things out of context in order to boost their reads. He was asked if he would like to play at Barcelona in the future and he said yes. It was a bit out of order from him, but he spoke the truth. Henry constantly re-affirmed his commitment to the Arsenal, but then moved to Barcelona shortly after that.

Besides, Arshavin on his current form won't get any interest from Barca.

On a side note, I don't understand why so many England based players want to play in La Liga. The league is not nearly as competitive as the EPL.

Arsenal are 3-0 up after 40 minutes and they will surely not concede 4. So I think I am safe in saying that St Totteringham's Day has finally arrived. What a relief. Last few games did not go as anticipated. Well done to the Spuds for finishing 4th.
