I would like to know what the team list for the Southern Kings looks like.

What players are contracted with them? Surely an all black team. I am very interested to see what they can produce.

Doubt if it will be all black ;)

H. Meyer is going to be helping with the training IIRC. Puke Twatson might get a run a cappie.

I just have this feeling he will be in the Springbok squad come 1 June.

He better stay out of Juan Smith's way if Saturday's lecture by Hendro Scholtz and Juan was anything to go by.

Most dangerous player in Lions squad?

No contest: Shane Williams.

Well half of the "guessed" boks hate him and dont want him in the team.

I cant see him making the team after all the bad publ. and controversy.

Also Spies and Kanko is in his way. On flankers he has Juan , Brussouw , Deysel, Schalk if he is ready, etc etc etc.

He is outclassed although he has played brilliantly this year.

The southern kings won't be racially based, did you not hear when SARU said we won't play against the NZ Maori's, since we do not get involved with teams that are racially based????

If you look at those names you only have Brussow as a fetcher. We need backup. And Puke is the only real option. Maybe Stegman, but he has not performed the whole season. He is certainly one for the future.

I honestly believe the way to beat the Lions will be to spoil and steal their ball. They will expect us to play all the big boys and rightly so. It has been one of our strengths over the years.

But now with 2 world class fetchers available we should look to use them extensively. The most difficult move to defend against is counter-attack. With Brussow and Watson we can establish those turnovers.

My loosies:
1.Spies, Smith, Brussow (Burger and Kanko as impact players)

The Royal XV believe they’re well equipped to beat the Lions in next week’s tour opener in Rustenburg.

Erm... What are they smoking?
This is the British Lions not the Auto & General Lions.

Just got back from a week in pommieville, the public and people in the pubs are not confident, at least the ones I spoke to, but we all agreed it would be a bruising encounter across the board.

We underestimated the Lions last time round, I don't think we will do it again.
We need full strength teams giving them a good going over in every game.

I don't think we under estimated them. We actually scored way more tries than them which means we cracked their defensive line a lot.
The real problem was our kicker. And that is the problem again?

Who will be our main goal kicker during the tour? No 2 step Percy around anymore.

If Steyn plays like he did on Saturday, in the semis and finals, he's a sure thing.

Do you really think they will make space for him?
He had a great season and certainly our in form fly-half. But do you really think old Snorre will make space for him?

Theres a view expressed by some ex Boks that we never fielded the full strength teams we could have in between the tests, choosing rather to rest player, just in case.
The real problem was not our kicker, it was theirs :D
