I'll do it tonight if I get time. I uploaded these pics because they conclusively proved that the ball went over. I am not trying to BS anyone. I am probably the most objective rugby supporter there is. (except when the Cheetahs play) ;)

Cape Town – Questions have been raised about whether Willem de Waal made a valid conversion in the dying moments of the game between the Emerging Boks and the British and Irish Lions.

The 31-year-old flyhalf on Tuesday night gave supporters a reason to cheer at the drenched Newlands stadium when he ensured that the Emerging Springboks drew 13-13 with the tourists.

But immediately after the match there was a scramble to establish if the touring team had suffered an injustice.

Journalists approached André Watson, South Africa's chief referee, about the kick. Watson admitted that he had his doubts about whether it was a valid kick and therefore studied the visual footage.

The footage appeared to be contradictory but it was finally deduced, partly from the body language of the Lions, that the kick was valid.

"I watched it on Tuesday night in slow motion. With the shot from behind, you are looking for a moment when you see the ball and the posts disappear. You get it on two shots," said Watson.

"What is absurd, is that you are looking from the other corner if the ball disappeared behind the posts. It doesn't happen, but it could perhaps only be because the image loses focus on the replay."

"The answer probably lies with the linesmen who called it. The shoulders of one of the Lions players started hanging right before the flags were lifted and he stood behind one of the linesmen, which is a further indication that the kick was valid."

But what does the humble general of the Western Province himself think about his kick. "It was comfortably there. I don’t know why it took them so long to call it," said De Waal.

"Do you think I would have carried on like that if I had missed?"

My answer is YES... So who knows... Smoke and mirrors people, smoke and mirrors ;)

Then why were you grinning like the cat who stole the milk (and they replayed that a couple of times too)

As if Andre Watson would ever leave an official (assistant referee) out to dry

Using body language as one of the factors

The shots have been posted..... It was over.

Can you guys take off your tin foil hats?

Or are the touch judges, de waal and the cameras lying?

Earl Rose has received praise for his part in the Emerging Springboks’ 13-all draw with the British & Irish Lions on Tuesday night.
Rose started the midweek match at Newlands at flyhalf and, despite atrocious conditions, enjoyed a satisfactory first half. However, the 25-year-old came unstuck in the second half, making a number of errors and missing a regulation penalty, which would’ve closed the deficit to one.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! Hell - What the fsck!?

So calling his first half satisfactory and addressing the numerous errors he made in the second half constitutes praise for Earl. Sounds about right.

That w@nker doesn't deserve a spot in the local Lions team, let alone any kind of bok team. Not even his own local crowd appreciate him - he is boo'd on his own home ground ffs, and for good reason...

I read on Keo.co.za that he limits himself to games up in Gauteng. He does not travel to Durbs or CT for commentary anymore.

So maybe he will commentate in one or both of the 2 tests in PTA and JHB.

@remybfg10k & SlyFly.

The game is on SS1 now if you want to PVR or tape it for own reference.
You have about 35minutes before the kick.

Its impossible for a ball to pass in front of BOTH posts, which it did, you can see De Waal laughing and shaking his head as he himself saw it didn't go over, the SA commentators also mentioned it, why on earth do you think they kept showing replays of it?

If you look where the 15 caught it as well, it was impossible for it to have had that trajectory if it had gone through the posts.

check the video at 2min 30sec, the ball definitely goes behind the right upright.

I'll admit I watched all the replays again last night and the very last replay before they end transmission it does look like the ball passes in front of both uprights. But if you look very closely the whole picture is out of focus and the uprights are barely visible. I think that makes it look like the ball passes in front. BUT... All the other angles clearly show the ball go over and those pictures are all in focus.

I think we need to focus on tomorrow's game.
I got 2 tickets to the game last night and will be sitting on the middle line right in front.

THANKS VODACOM!!!!

What time is kick off?

15:00

...and I just read all the cr@p above about De Waal's conversion! Geez, guys, can absolutely nothing just be accepted?!? They just showed the conversion again now in the build up. the camera angle is behind and the ball disappears behind the left hand upright and then passes in front of the right hand upright as it goes through. It can't really be more obvious!

It must be a British thing... we had the same crap with the player's foot apparently not being in touch during the World Cup when all and sundry could see it in the hundreds of still photos online. It appears to be a ploy to allow them to b!tch for years about how they were cheated.
