the worst thing about our performance today was the lack of discipline the players had.

Awesome stuff Bokke! Now hopefully we will get the ball going through the phases instead of kicking it away all the time. Sorry for Pienaar but his confidence is too fragile. Morne Steyn has earned his place. Brussouw is our new secret weapon. We have won the series so try him from starting line up. He is the man.

Oh please man .... last week Pienaar was brilliant and everyone was singing his praises. Today he, like the whole bloody team, have an off time and the Morne-heads are out in full force

Looks like Jean is injured, hence Jaque in for him.

I also saw the Sheridan nut cracker!!

Schalk will be cited and, if found guilty, could be out for 4-6 weeks.

Naturally Schalk will be cited (what a brainfart moment) and we will be the better off for it ..... would be nice if Sheridan also gets cited but R250 says he won't be ;)

Yea agreed meph, tough call if you ask me. Although i think it was skinstad/robbie who made the point, you want a consistent performer and not one game amazing the next game poor.

I think though pienaar is great but give steyn a run in the tri-nations. Our coach though seemed to think shalk's yellow was harsh for some odd reason, he was lucky not to be given red and i hope they ban him because that is just nasty stuff if you ask me.

You're missing the point I was making killa bru ...... Pienaar has just come back from injury and after 1 good game and a mediocre one, he must get replaced? By that reasoning then half the Boks from today need to be dropped? Nuh, that's the problem in this country, the really talented chaps never have a chance to settle (whether in games or positions). Pienaar needs to play the entire Tri-Nations.

Whatever, Ruan on form is our best flyhalf option but he is way too sensitive. If he starts off badly he usually doesn't recover. His confidence is more sensitive than any other SA kicker and this is a well known fact. Morne is consistent and has proven himself he will only improve. We need consistency.

Well steyn had a great season with the bulls, i got your point but i think you missed mine :p and was that too give steyn the chance to show us if he is better. If we do not test which is better we will not know for sure.

We are speculating saying pienaar is better, steyn is better blah blah but steyn has not been given the chance to prove any of us wrong.

He has played 2 games why not give him a run and see. Pienaar has had the chance to show us he is great why not afford steyn the same option?

Because 3 games (I think that's how many he has now played flyhalf) is nowhere near enough time for settling .........

Well i think we will find our soon enough because on today's performance he may have just given himself a chance to prove you and others wrong, he may prove you right but without game time we shall never know.

Great game. Came down to 3 Lions players stuffing up in the last few minutes and giving away 10 points compared to Pienaar's missed kicks

I'm English and that is why i support the B&I Lions and the Sharks, and from a todays game, as much as i love the sharks, looking at it from a B&I Lions supporters point of view, Morne Steyn sunk us, thus he has BMT. If Ruan had stayed on, i think the Lions would have won.

 Flip flap from one week to the next ........ like I said, on today's performance, half the team at least need to be replaced by your reasoning ..... and that includes Bulls players ;)

Yeah spot on.

What is laughable though is the fact that Pienaar was not the first choice kicker for the sharks. If you know you are going to play him as the national kicker then you have to give him game time to grow.

His is definitely getting better as a flyhalf, so there is growth. But he needs a full super 14 to learn to kick when his confidence is low.

For now i think Pdv must use them both to compliment each other. Playing just morne is going to be risky come worldcup time when the occasional injury starts showing its ugly head. They both need to grow into the position.

One thing is for sure.

Pienaar and morne are our best flyhalfs, and a national team needs two quality flyhalfs when going to big competitions.
