It must be added that the Cheetahs' scrum was totally annihilated.
Sheridan just sent a massive warning to the Boks and to John Smit.

The only reason that happened was Sheridan wasn't penalised for putting his left hand on the ground, which he used to change his scrumming angle, which is illegal and this caused the prop against him to slip his binding.

Only 2 with question marks are Jordaan and Vulindlu ........ Jordaan because he was the narb who threw that Cheetahs player over the tryline  and Vulindlu because he was shown up badly on defence :(

Not a bad team at all. Hope Terblanche has the game of his life and leaves the selectors red faced...same with Kockott.

Yeah, Sheridan did not amount to much in the last world cup either. The poms talked big about their pack but the Bok pack was more than capable.
The Lions are going to try and take us on up front, it will be interesting to watch.
They certainly won't be getting any easy ball from our forwards, or any free meters around the base of the scrum which they have enjoyed up till now, giving them good go forward ball.

I think the B&I Lions are going to have a hard time against the Boks, in all apsects of the game, from lineouts down to scrumming.

I would like to see the Lions put up a good fight though, maybe even sneek in a 2-1 series victory, its highly unlikely but not impossible.

I dont know what to make of the Lions games so far, either they are really that bad and are really struggling to beat the water downed provincial sides or there are some tactics being applied. Maybe being told when to put and take their foot off the gas.

I guess all will be revealed during the first test.

Shoo, all those *cough* Bok wannabe's kinda did not make the grade, almost as bad as the Xerox Lions!

:D So much for "pre-test". :erm:

If there is anything we've learned from the past few weeks is that the Cheetahs are most likely going to take the Currie Cup again *sigh*

Out of all the warm up matches i'd expected the Sharks to be the one that at least sneaked a win.

I still believe we haven't seen the best of the British lions, I don't know if some of you have been watching those "lion vs SA past tours", they seem to "just " win our provincial teams and annihilate the springboks,

Well the victory against the Xerox (zero?) Lions was not "just" a win.....

Yes because the cheetahs lost a grand total of 2 IIRC players to the national side, thus thats basically the team they always play with (They also have Brussouw! :D)

RELAX

WeePee will fsck them up

The weepee playing Grey College again? I won't be to sure you guys can beat them. I mean you did lose your one good player to the boks :p

I think we need to remember that the Springboks have the stronger side but The Lions have been together for much longer now and they will also be extremely match fit when the test arrive. The Boks will run onto the field with not even one match played together. Yes, the core group has been together a while but they will still not be match fit.
That is why I believe PDivvy should have released the Boks to play in their provincial matches too.
Come 20 June, I think we are in for a big surprise. The Lions have not played their best because they did not need to play their best to win. They will surely raise the bar when the first test arrives.

Yeah I agree the lions look like they will not be cannon fodder to the boks.

But In my mind if we play the right team we should beat them by at least 5 points every game.

And by right team I mean no Earl the pearl.

If they are not good enough to play for the Boks then you can not use that as an excuse for the other teams losing against them. Sure, most of their group stays together, but nobody regards them good enough for Bok selection and therefor they should not be a threat. (should not):p

And +1000000 on Brussow. He is currently the biggest inspiration in that team. Other guys see how hard he works and they follow his example.
