So... who thinks Mourinho is going to play Azpi right back this week? I don't see him playing normal style since he needs to rest one of Ivanovic or John Terry and using Azpi's suspension smartly...

Not sure about Azpilicueta but im almost certain there is not much wrong with Costa and Mourinho is just making excuses to rest him for the United game.

He would have done it without Dave's league suspension- he's rotated our right backs each game, and Ivanovic played in our last CL game.

What a pass from Ake to Hazard. Good to see Drogba on the scoresheet even though it was a penalty.

Ake has looked better and better each game he's played. I really think that we're doing Mikel a solid by keeping him until he gets his English passport and slowly phasing in Ake to take his place. Mikel will prolly be sold for an pretty penny in January (latest in the summer) and we won't even need a replacement. The whole "we'll get one player soon" thing might be here already :)

Also... Solanke :D Yeaaaah. Was so happy when he came on.

Joe's best article yet. Loved his view on Rodgers :D

What is patently clear about Oscar’s growth this season is his sheer capacity to outwork any opponent. In this alone he is rewriting the rules about what to expect from a number ten. Having a maverick player capable of sublime moments is no longer acceptable. This is the difference between Oscar and Juan Mata. The Brazilian may never generate Mata’s goals or assists, but his overall contribution to the team is miles ahead of anything the Spaniard could deliver.

Beautifully put.

Was I the only one who raised his brow when Jose said he didn't want Drogba to take that penalty during the after-match comments?

yes. hazard is the designated penalty taker. sentiment is a fan's game, not a manager's

Jose doubts Remy or Costa will be back on Sunday. So disappointed with that. I miss that Costa lad. So that means Drogba starts and Schurlle will come in as a sub for him since Drogs can't play full 99-.

Could be a ploy by Jose. He loves playing mind games.
