To be honest, I don't think he needs to play mind games. You look at the form of our entire midfield- it doesn't really matter who plays up front.
He doesn't but this is Jose, nonetheless.

So why does it make it mind games if he says the player isn't fit? He could easily have done it when we faced City and he was already on the edge of his fitness.

Thats some bold talk, you think you will be no worse off with Drogba playing instead of Costa?
To give Man United a psychological blow when they see the line-up...
Of course we will be, but our midfield's form as a whole has been the biggest catalyst for our performances and results this season. We've lost two strikers to injury and played our third choice, barely fit 36-year-old- and still demolished Maribor.
I'm just confident in the overall system, and that it is not reliant on one single player to make a difference.
TBH, I think any premier league team would beat Maribor.

What's with the faces? You don't think our EPL sides can beat a team from Slovenia? The quality in the EPL is far greater than where Maribor plays.
How many EPL sides can stay unbeaten for 8 games in the Champions League? Regardless of opposition.

If he does miss out (which im still doubtful) then i think its a big blow, thats not to say i think United will win but i think we will have a much better chance.
Agreed. He is a massive miss for us.
Apparently Costa got sick and was sent to hospital when he returned from Spanish duty.
