Lol,

Whatever

Seems no one can say anything slightly critical about mufc

Carry on then.

Have a good season.

The fact that they are here defending the decision making indicates who really rescued the game for them.

Mourinho is also to blame for deciding to close up shop in the 65th minute when he should have had Hazard running at Rafael a lot more- he was carded so early that it wouldn't have taken much to get him sent off. The ref was horrible simply because he was inconsistent. Ivanovic's yellow was ridiculous- even Gary Neville said so.

Nevertheless, I'm not too bummed. Still top, a good gap between us and City, and our two hardest games of the season done and dusted.

Well...

@ChelseaStats said:
Both Chelsea and City have taken 8 points from 4 #big7 games this season (W2, D2, L0), but Chelsea played 3 away, city 3 at home.

@ChelseaStats said:
that big 7 thing is important, we’ve already played 50% of our away games vs the group, and 33% of all our games. after just 9 league games.

That will only be compounded when we play Liverpool at Anfield. City and United away done, dusted and got 2 points. Can't really complain can we?

Which is why I am also not complaining too much- even if it was more a case of four points dropped than two points earned. And it's a regression on the results from last season (which we seem to be making up in the other fixtures). So let's see how City and United get on next week :)

But- having gone to Old Trafford, the Etihad and Anfield (in two weeks time) before the second week of November is a positive in my books. Gives us a bit of breathing room.

Given our current state of affairs, I don't see Anfield as being a major challenge for you

People can go on about Costa, Oscar, Cesc, Hazard and the likes, but I'll tell you that keeper of yours is something else.

There was this one angle when he went to pickup the ball for a goal kick and from the angle of the camera on the ground behind the goal it looked like he was just a foot shorter than the crossbar.

He is only 22, it's insane. Don't even want to think how good he is still going to get.

Ag, just admit you guys got the luck of the draw with respect to the refs sub par officiating and move on.

There is no shame in that.

Chelsea should of had a penalty (i said that in the United thread when it happened), that's the only decision i think didn't go their way.

Now just admit you're feeling a little bitter that United managed to get something out of the game, there is no shame in that.

Why would I be bitter?

Reffing apart, I thought you guys deserved the point - your strikers looked dangerous and your defense was the best I've seen from them in the games I've watched this season.

My comments on the ref were early in the game already (in this thread), so ja....

Your comments in this thread through out the game suggested you really wanted to Chelsea to win, so when they didn't you seemed rather upset. If you say no however, then fine :)

I also agree that a draw was a fair reflection of the game.

Well your players were playing openly dirty and didn't get the punishment they were due. Better?

Terry
Ramires
Oscar
Luiz
Matic
Ivanovic

Frequently did/do the same. Care to bitch about it when it goes in your favour or is just when it happens against Chelsea?

Mourinho should have killed the game off rather than sitting back and hoping for his favourite score. With our backline frequently being a shambles, a ballsier manager would have thrown on more attack. We would have been killed.

Not Jose though.

Yeah, he is fantastic. World class, and he still has so much headroom to improve further. His reading of the game is something I have not seen in our keepers in years- and very similar to Neuer in that regard.

If we ever decided to play with a sweeper keeper, I think he would have no problem adapting at all.

Would have to take something special to dislodge Cech. And that lad is something special alright.

Very rare to see a keeper command their area that well nowadays. Something I felt sorry for De Gea over. His defence really needs to tighten up, because his one-on-one abilities can't hold teams out forever. Sadly, he doesn't get nearly enough credit for his performances, either.
