Kids have discovered Youtube, so I have no lag after they go to bed ;)
Have to add that I had more lag earlier the month in various games not only Blizzard's. Seems to be better now

Chaps at work have been complaining of high latency to overseas gaming servers for most of last week, might be a general thing.

It's not international connectivity as fibre is fine.

I had a similar challenge with my fiance and bloody Facebook videos last year - get yourself a decent router and ration bandwidth to their IPs so you always keep yourself 2-4Mbs for gaming (depending on your connection ofc).

Trading bandwidth for favours ey? :)

I am upgrading rare items to improve my gear, but the Death's Breath is a huge bottle neck in this process...
I have seen some guides where people are reporting 1000 Death's Breath per hour farmed, but I don't even come close to this! I have dropped down to T12 for faster rift clears (~3min) and try to only shoot for the elite packs.
I am now gearing up a monk (yes need to spend more Death Breaths) so that I can test running around with the Sage set as well...
What do you guys do to get DB's?

Crusader DB farm build is great, try it, I can farm more than 500 DB's an hour even more

Ye lots of rifts. Do them on public so you always have a 4man, pick up all the DB's.

I still have some non-ancient items even now, and average ring/neck that I can't find upgrades for. I'll probably stop my season soon on about GR85 or so.

The crusader db farm build looks interesting. Maybe I will give it a go as well ;) then I have 1 of each class for the season. At least two of them have done the solo 70.

Ola!

That's one thing I've always hated. The bottleneck that causes the mindless farming instead of just playing for fun.

Need to put in so much time to get to and play the level you want to.

When / what season is that Nerco coming?

Should be out with the next season, if I read the forums right. The season may be extended a bit to accommodate for that, or the next one may be a bit delayed.

100% agree with that. Diablo has always been a grind game, but it does demotivate to keep at it after a couple of years. A season is great fun for a month since progress is rapid and just about every item is an upgrade, but then I pop back to something else.

I'm currently at Paragon 785, and still need to get 15 more levels to reach my original goal of p800. I just don't have the energy or motivation for that. I'm quite chuffed to have managed a GR85 with the OP hydra wizard, and that's good enough for me.

Hey guys

So I was a massive fan of Diablo II LoD and played it to death as a single player game. Have yet to try Diablo III and was wondering if it is viable for single player? I prefer not to do MP as I can never commit to regular times due to family/kids. If I have to step away from the PC at short notice I need to be able to do so immediately and not leave an online team in the lurch.

So, is it worth the effort as a single player game or should I rather look at something like Dragon age etc for a single player RPG?

If you liked D2, I can highly recommend Path of Exile, which is launching a huge expansion in July, which is so far looking amazing. It's also totally free, so you lose nothing by trying. PoE is online, although there's no need to play in teams (I don't). D3 is certainly viable for single player, especially given how their itemisation works.

Thanks, had not heard of it before. Will give it a try (Path of Exile).

Have they improved the graphics yet? (yes, yes, I know I'm shallow :p but that mini-map is just  )

One of my biggest gripes as well, coming in July:

(you can remove all the added details, to make it look even clearer)

Many other graphics improvements coming as well, including brand new water!

In any event - Don't want to interfere in the D3 thread, but a heads up for anyone looking for an ARPG fix - PoE is launching a huge expansion in July, and the beta started today, so check out the information that's coming out currently, there's lots of news. And give it a go when it launches!

Or, if you prefer, there's always the necromancer...
