Ran T4 with 2 DH and 2 Crusaders...
Honestly could not see a dam thing, just hold left mouse, spam abilities, check the edges of the screen for frozen or arcane and pray. With Akkhans up I even manage to out DPS the DH's, hehehe

But after much farming, got both the RoRG and 5 pieces of Akkhans set so I'm happy :D

Wahaha! That sounds like all-out chaos! :D

Grats on the drops though, sheez

Can anyone here recommend Afrihost for D3? Im looking to switch away from Openweb. Thanks

I had a problem once (iirc the last day of the anniversary buff) and that's it since I switched over a year ago. I know some of the other guys complain sometimes in the clan chat, but I've not had a problem at the same time as them (neither has Scorch) so not quite sure its a ISP problem at those times.

I cant really blame Afrihost for any issues that I've had. There can often be a lot going on my line (downloads, Netflix, youtube etc) so the times I have had issues (not many at all) I'm pretty sure it was because my bandwidth was getting stolen from me by one of my housemates.

constant problems the last couple of months (both 4Mb uncapped and 10Mb capped), I keep a 2Mb Connection account for playing D3, has been so much better

and I'm planning to dump AH altogether in the next day or so

I personally would not recommend Afrihost for diablo3.
I am on a business uncapped and they also manage the line, however during the day there is no lag whatsoever, ping/latency is green always around 253.
However from 5pm it goes green, red and then huge lag spikes, making Diablo unplayable. This carries on into the wee hours.
I have spoken to tech support, tried their online tech , never is online???
Actually at my wit send, was on mweb, but their shaping was horrendous, but no lag issues with Diablo ever!
Trade off I suppose!

Interesting, I use an AH prepaid account for gaming, since the latency tends to be better than a few others I've tried.

When people specify a time when their internet goes bad it generally points to exchange congestion.

Im was on Afrihost uncapped but changed to capped because I do not use that much data.

No problems for me.

On a side. Playing HC lately and the latencies are rock solid. No spikes whatsoever compared to normal.

I use an Afrihost capped account on my 2mb line for gaming, but over the last two weeks it's been giving me hassles with D3. We're talking extended spikes to 700 ping, then drop to 200ms for a few seconds, then back up. No issue with my FNB capped or Mweb uncapped, they both run at around 200ms ping constantly.

I have Afrihost uncapped. Its fine most of the time but not always. I prefer to use my Web Africa capped acct for gaming. Simply the best ISP for gaming, specially internationally because of ping and stability.

Ok so some say AH is fine, others say its bad, sigh....

Guys mentioning it going all over in the evening and being fine in the day is making the mistake of confusing area & exchange problems with the ISP itself. (if its an constant issue)
Usually not an ISP issue with AH, but rather means your exchange gets congested in the evening when all the kiddies start downloading & playing or your line needs some work.

For the most part AH is doing fine, specially compared to some other ISP's. Uncapped accts will however never be as good as capped accts for gaming and are prone to spikes on some days.

Wouldn't go for AH uncapped, they have IPC capacity issues way too often and too long.

AH, Axxess and WA are offering some very tempting capped products currently.

First time running on T5 last night with a full party, it was not bad, need to concentrate more to die less, but I brought the DPS and the tanks that I got got going for me which is nice.

Ye bud, it's quite quick and pretty easy. Also consider that we basically carried 1 player the duration of the runs. So much more fun that just facerolling lower T's
