Ya, build specific questions are to be taken into account as well of course. I am not talking about just dex vs AS though, I am talking about which is better between 3 factors. AS turned into Dex or 23% more CHD. CHD gives you raw dmg too, so if raw dmg is definitely better, then it is a question of which is better overall. (-7% AS +750 Dex) VS +23% CHD. The spreadsheet can tell you that pretty simply. Then you use that info and combine it with your knowledge of your build and what it needs.

EDIT: FYI, the spreadsheet includes skill% and element% dmg multipliers, that the in game paper dps does not. It is a little bit more informative than the standard paper dps.

Hi Soultax, I had a look at your sheet a while back, just wondering one thing - how do I calculate when dual wielding (hand crossbows, for instance)? Thanks, J

Just use diabloprogress to see the actual numbers with regards to Mainstat vs IAS. Update your profile, scroll down. At the bottom you will see what each modifier is worth in raw damage, this way you will be making an informed decision.

Thank you sir

Need to equip the thing to check properly, but on current equipment, Dex is the one to go for.

+23% CHD = 53,788 dps
+7% AS = 84,077 dps
+600 Dex = 88,420 dps

I heard you found a goblin rift, and they dropped LOTS of reusable parts?

A treasure seeker mob and a treasure goblin mob right next to each, they dropped lots of stuff (alas no legs) :p

Thanks to LaVeRz for doing all the hard work, I think he nailed just about every single one before I could get to him

It's expensive to roll though - I've been trying to roll the 77% higher on the Ouroboros - 10 rather expensive rolls later and it's still on 77% :(

And rolling the dex is going to be any cheaper? You got a max roll attack speed, that you are planning on rolling into Dex. You need to find 740ish to make it feel good.

Just ran the numbers, 23% CHD is better than 750 Dex and -7% AS.

You have a quad dps neck there. Just not optimised. No point in swapping the only max roll stat for another of the dps stats. Rather max the CHD if you can.

The CHD is 33% stronger than the Dex and AS change.
3% DPS increase for changing AS to Dex and a 4% dps increase for just maxing the CHD.

Unless you are using a build where AS means diddly squat, in which case there is no question that Dex will win out.

Careful there, you need to subtract 7% AS and add 750 Dex
7% as = 84 077
750 Dex = 110 526
-7% AS + 750 Dex = -84077 + 110526 = 26 449 Nett Increase
CHD = 53 787

Hey Jakes

I didn't build it to include dual wield because I was on my Wiz at the time. Now that you mention it I am not sure how to easily change it, and I don't really play RoS much anymore, so don't have the inclination to change it.

I built it before diablo progress had incorporated the same type of thing into their website. Their presentation is much cleaner and more informative than mine.

If you want to see it though, here would be the formula for combined weapon dps. Datamined but not personally confirmed.
WEAPON COMBINED DPS
= [weapon1dps * weapon1speed / (weapon1speed + weapon2speed)] + [weapon2dps * weapon2speed / (weapon1speed + weapon2speed)]

Dont forget the 15% attack speed increase from dual wielding
