Sorry, it's almost lunch time.

Must... make... it..

It really does not take much to run T5 quite efficiently as a group. We've even been carrying a person or so with.
(There is quite a leap to T6, specially solo & some classes just have a way harder time. Blizzard will eventually make a proper pass on all classes)

You just need ppl or even 1 person with some control and others bring the dps if you don't have a group who can fully hold their own solo.
I have never seen dmg as the issue on higher torments, but rather survivability.

Yeah, different strokes I guess.

I also prefer it when a the party sticks together (max melting power) and cleans up everything.

It's quite disconcerting when one or two people wander/rush off into the depths - kinda defeats the point of being in a party

lol, last night we were clearing a rift and 3 of us jumped into the next level leaving Sinbad behind, we ran straight into a pack of elites and started blasting away whilst I think Sinny was cleaning up the dregs of the previous level triggering the arrival of the guardian, guess which level the guardian spawned in? :D :D

suddenly a frantic message obviously typed in haste "GUYS, HERE!" popped up :D :D

LOL yeah.
The exit to the next level didn't show on my map for some reason... so I thought we were at the end of the rift. The kill minions counter was at 99% so I ran off to an unexplored area to find the last beasties to kill. Then nearly got ****ed up deluxe :D

I had just joined that game, had no idea wtf was going on!

I'd forgotten about that :)

to be honest I was also confused for a short period being stuck in the middle of an elite mob, smashing away, but couldn't see the guardian anywhere it was only as the last of the elites got cleared and Sinny's message popped up that I realised what had happened :p

Hmm...

What kind of dps do you need?
What kind of toughness?

I can solo T5 (carefully depending on gearing and buffs) but kill FAAAAAAAAAR too slowly so it's just not feasible for me.

Don't see myself being able to add much value in a T5 group - maybe with a Windforce for reliably proc'ing of the Strongarms or a Calamity to add group damage buff....

I have a Windforce that has a 48.5% knockback proc; combined with an insta-bola explode quiver with big diamond....

of course I'd have to give up 250 Dex and 7% ChC due to losing the Nat's bonus :( but I could then swap in an SoJ...and of course the Strongarms are a group buff/debuff

I'd say if a rift is done in +- 15 mins its fine. I really do enjoy a rift where I need to focus more instead of just facerolling it in a few mins and then falling asleep.

Just join us and lets have some fun. I think Zankanotachi aka LaVeRz joined in the other night. Not sure if I'll be on tonight, maybe later on.

I'd really like to do some of these higher runs with really nicely geared ppl. We honestly have been doing it with 2 of the ppl in the group who'd never run T5 on their own and its been fun

How are you guys doing gfx speed wise. I never had any issues really before RoS except here and there and Rakkis crossing. These days i sometimes go down to what feels like 5fps when there is lots going on.

A couple FPS with a full party during a big battle.

I have a pretty ****ty PC, but it seems even folk with hardcore setups suffer from the same.

Some areas of the game lag no matter what, it doesnt have to do with a million spells flying around (I have had way way more go on in other areas). Somewhere, somehow there is buggy code for just those areas. I do recall Rakkis crossing became an issue in D3V after one of the patches, and has been like that ever since

I think it's physics/cpu not graphics that causes it. I have the same cpu, 16gb of ram and a **** off graphics card, I think it's an r9 280 or something crazy like that. Massive fps drops when it gets busy on screen

Don't think this is a PC thing tbh, but rather something with the game. Running an i7 3770k, 16gb ram & 2 x 680's in SLI and it can drop horribly sometimes.

That is really bad if those cards also slow down, could it be related to always-on gameplay, needing to slow it down to keep up with latency ?

can't say I've ever noticed a problem on my PC at home, my lappie struggled a bit with one or 2 areas last night, but I've been expecting that, in fact I've been pleasantly surprised how well the game has generally performed on my laptop with a dodge mifi signal out in the sticks

Doubt it. My line is 10 meg. No way it's trying to move that much data.

I also noted it's a 32 bit app. I wonder if they'll port to 64 to allow more ram to be used

Rakkis Crossing is the worst for me.
16gb ram and a ssd drive and it makes no difference, just like walking through treacle. Apart from that, the game runs fine so it seems there is something in the game itself that is causing that trouble.

Looking on google shows loads of complaints about it.
