Thanks again, but after being removed from the PC, it started working again when I popped it back in. This leads me to suspect that the issue probably lies with the motherboard (which is a horrid old thing), which I am hoping to replace soon-ish.

As an aside, my new build allowed me to run a solo (with Scoundrel companion) T6 rift last night - slow, but doable - thank you Mr Yan

Did some bounties instead of rifts yesterday, had some fun and picked up a few mats and other trinkets, might do some more today just to take a break from rifting.

Ha, mad 4 person T6 rift - vrot had a 90k repair bill.

Great for giggles but too inefficient I think.

Drop rate isn't that high though.

I put the zakhara shoulders on for the t6 guardian. 9.8 bn hit points...

If you want to farm shard of einsteig or iron wolves doctrine, just pretend you're looking for the twin seas thing. Got plenty of those now :-\

best for Doctrine is Ssstrass (or something) in Dahlgur Oasis

always in same spot and straight forward to get to

Get the checkpoint just after you run through that little town, go into the cellar and chat with Magda. The checkpoint you want is the gate after you speak to the real guards.
Then you go directly right about 2 screens. No purple guy there to slay, head all the way down and look for him there.
Rinse and repeat
T4+

I tried the sewers and the purple you're looking for never spawned in over an hour. The route above took 30min and I had 3 mats
