Doing key runs this weekend on Hardcore playing MP2. Finally got the plan for the Infernal Machine to drop last weekend from Nekarat in Act4 on MP3 but was tricky cos he came along with an Elite pack of Hell Witches... If it wasn't for my damage reduction skill set I would have been toast.

Got to Act 2 last night on normal in HC, round about lvl 16 I think. I'm not really playing much different at this point, haven't really come close to dying yet. I might farm Act 1 for another level or two though, before I go on with Act 2.

Play in a public game. It goes much faster and you level quicker and get better drops.

Get socketed gear and perfect square gems. Makes life easier.

Yeah, as soon as I get to the part of the game that starts giving socketed equipment, I'll splash for some big gems.

I don't get in-game stuff having that kind of value.

Entropia Universe entered the Guinness World Records Book in both 2004 and 2008 for the most expensive virtual world objects ever sold, and in 2009, a virtual space station, a popular destination, sold for $330,000.[1] This was then eclipsed in November 2010 when Jon Jacobs sold a virtual resort on Planet Calypso for $635,000; this property was sold in chunks, with the largest sold for $335,000.[2][3]

If you want to look at numbers, my latest HC char took me about 12 hours. At my hourly rate that's R12000 ;)

The ship was bought at X value. You can buy game time with real money and then sell the game time code in game and get ISK (the in game currency, same as gold). Like at the moment a 60d time code costs about $35, sells in game for about 750mil ISK, which equates to $1 = 21-22mil ISK. To put it into relation, I can run some missions and do about 21-22mil in about 4-6 hours, depending on how attentive I am, it's possible to make it quicker though. I used to make quite a bit of money when I had a production alt (it made enough to fuel all 3 of my accounts + buy me shiney toys in game), but I got burnt out cause I actually spent way too much time playing with spreadsheets than I did the actual game.

Anyway, that ship was worth about 200 Billion ISK, or roughly 15 428 days worth of game time, or $9000.

There's age old saying in EVE, don't fly it, if you can't afford to replace it.

Server issues tonight? Ping to an overseas address is stable but in game latency is hovering around the 1700ms mark

Last night was fine for me, and I was fighting mobs a level higher than me (some drops are above my level haha) on HC

Ok, so this was the weird situation with the "lag" last night. I was at Techead's house and he was experiencing major latency issues when joining a game with his wizard. I then wanted to check something on my profile and when I logged in to D3 (on his pc) the connection was stable. He then logged back in again but this time with his DH. Connection super stable! As soon as he switched characters to his wizard and entered a game, latency went through the roof.

Do your characters somehow sit on different servers or something? Why would joining a game with his DH be fine but not with his wizard? Anyway, it settled down in the end but it was such a weird occurrence and made absolutely no sense.
