I guess teamspeak would have been useful there. WTF was he thinking?

I heard the sound of the damage and thought it was me. Got outta there and saw him standing in the sentry chucking gems on the ground and then dead.

Lesson learned me thinks. He will not stand on an arcane sentry again. Saw he was up to lvl 20 last night again.

Arcane sentry deaths can be quite fast, so I would not rule it out that it can happen again. Seen a Paragon 30 Wiz died last night :( Multiple charges from those beasts in Fields (MP2 only). Death can be swift regardless of gear, that's what keeps HC exciting.

There was a single sentry, we'd wiped out the mob, this guy just stood on it while he was emptying loot

Last night while fighting the Butcher (hell) I saw his double jump slam coming and thought lets see if I survive. Boom 15k HP gone.

I am getting sloppy grinding to 60.

Your easy-mode weapon making you complacent ;)

Thinking about shelving D3 for a while (although I still have a DH with which I need to finish Inferno). We ran Ubers on MP9 over the weekend (thanks Archer!) and it was hardly a challenge. I can't see it being noticeably tougher on MP10 (it will just take longer!). Also, the drops won't be any significantly better so why bother.

Anyway, back to Borderlands 2 for a while methinks. Lot of DLC to get through...

same for me bro. think we have just had enough of farming and ubers to get no reward? I just seems like a bit of a waste of time now... Gonna shelve it for a bit until they bring out something really big. Next patch I dont see anything huge? I guess they all working on the expansion. Well that is what I read anyway...

Already re-downloaded and installed Borderlands 2 last night on Steam. Also, thanks to the Steam specials, picked up XCOM Enemy Unknown and Baldurs Gate Enhance edition. All these will keep me busy for a long time... :)

Near Death Experience saved my ass twice this weekend on HC. On Belial's green explosions and a waller arcane sentry in mines on MP1.

Hmm, I think that's a must... :D
Pity you only get it right near the end!

Sissy :p
I have kept fleet footed instead of NDE. But it does get kind of interesting when you run into two mobs, both with arcane and frozen, one with waller, the other pack high HP :erm: Oh and the A3 Keywarden, because it wasn't dangerous enough of course!

When I get the Inna pants though for extra MS, I'll switch to NDE in a heart beat and join you in being a scaredy cat :D

I've been running with Inna's pants for quite a while. i want to get the chest as well which will knock AR even more. Still need to get AR on my shield though.

I'm going for the helm and pants - keeping the chest slot open for something with crazy eHP, which the Inna chest doesnt do well with

The gains in ehp should be quite similar (think I'll check on d3up during lunch) between the two runes so nothing in it there. So you're looking at HP regen vs a bit more dodge. I've taken regen, though I guess I don't really need it anymore since I have plenty on my gear now.

So eHP without dodge time of need is better slightly since I have "more" resistance than armour (note - 1 resist is worth 10 armour).
Taking dodge into account hard target is better, but ask yourself how often do you die from an attack that could have been dodged? In my case, almost never - its non dodgeables like arcane, poison, molten etc that does the vast majority of damage

That makes a lot of sense, I'll be sticking with Time of Need.

Very tough on HC to grind for better gear or gold. Each time I go MP1 it's like playing russian roulette.

Play act 3 - highest chance of level 63 gear, not as big a risk as MP1. Just be very careful in keep level 2. I'm going to try get to siegebreaker next time I'm on, hopefully those poison guys with the arms in the ground aren't too much. Everything else I know I can handle. And If you can get there you've got most of act 3 to grind.

I think MP1 will be doable at 45k DPS, although only barely. 50k things will get much easier. 450k eHP, some sort of LoH (even if only 250) will be a huge bonus.
