But why? Its not that hard, i hardly ever had a moment on mp5 up to almost inferno on the previous toon

Will check it out though, thx

MP0 in a full game (public game) gives enough bonus experience to be equivalent to a higher solo mp level, and things die a lot faster. That and the ease of surviving in mp0 games makes them the most popular, I think.

Make any sense:

I know this has been hashed out many times already.

But it is driving me nuts.

Playing on MP10 causes absolutely ridiculous amounts of items to rain down. This makes it sometimes impossible to pick up an item with a higher priority that you want (yellow, rather than white), as the item labels for the white item, rather inexplicably appear to take preference over the yellow item's label, which is buried under a mound of white text.

Same goes for Legs - You know they are there, due to the column, but you cannot pick them up before you are forced to pick up some clutter on the ground first.

Can these visual priorities be improved perhaps?

So people have suggested a filter, which utterly inexplicably has been ruled out as a possibility it seems.

What possible reason would a level 60+ in Inferno have, to pick up a blue, never mind white item?

I am now experimenting with various options to try and deal with this issue:

'Always show item labels on drop' (I can see during a battle if something good drops, but then it does me a favour and visually vanishes).

Then, I use spacebar to show items on the ground with one press.

This is sort of okay, I guess - But fiddly and long-winded. The problem still remains of the visual label hierarchy if there are a lot of items on the ground.

As well, as far as I can gather, this does not work with white and blue items - They are still there after they should have faded, while rares (and legs, I gather) are not displayed until I press spacebar.

I am not sure if this is precisely what happens, or if it's an intermittent bug?

Anyhow, this is really not working for me, and tremendously impacting my immersion in the game.

Also, please, give me an option along the lines of 'cannot pick up items, unless "item label display key is pressed", so I can avoid clicking on a festering white axe, instead of a monster's head.

Thanks.

Any more input and refinement would be appreciated greatly.

Thread on official forums.

I can't say I've ever had that as a problem. I've had no problems picking up exactly what I want even with my whole screen inundated with items - or is this only an issue on lower resolutions?

Agreed. I press ALT, it shows up the items lying around and I just click on the ones I want. I do agree though that there doesn't seem to be much point in displaying white and blue items when you're a level 60+ character. If there was a setting to turn that on or off that would be awesome.

Oh and I nearly did die.
I don't recall EVER having a problem with the red equivalent of those little green exploding fookers in Kulle's Archives, to the point that I've never even noticed them - but a bunch of them hit me at once while I was fighting an elite and took my health down to about 200

Had no problems with lag all evening, but then as soon as I started Inferno with my WD I almost died! Entered the second quest at the tavern where you need to kill the zombies, started it and dropped one gas cloud...then nothing, D3 crashed. Restarted and resumed the game, happy to see that I survived and the quest was completed...
Don't know if Xavier killed the mobs while I was gone, since he was in the game, but at the stash when I started the quest. Or if my minions saved me or if that gas cloud actually registered on the server and killed off the zombies...

Kormac has a strange sense of humour.

"The world is a safer place", he declared today, 10 seconds after my media server kicked in with a 1MB/sec download, knocking my latency from 200 to 1200...

LOL - D3 thread has become an obit column - everytime it pops up on the "whats new" shortcut I wonder whose toon has bit the dust.

Kormac - the less said about Kormac the better.

I take it Benjen survived.
