Guessing it isn't nice being under that thing, I just wonder what the hell one of those American Hurricanes would look like if it were to ever get here.
Hurricanes and cyclones are the same thing...not sure why they have different names in different regions. Never made sense to me.

Edit: the locals probably came up with those names at different times a long time ago when we weren't able to compare things around the world.

I wonder if we’ll get a bit of rain from that? Like the sort of rain where the bridge over the river is found five miles out to sea.

The thorn bug is an occasional pest of ornamentals and fruit trees in southern Florida. During heavy infestations, nymphs and adults form dense clusters around the twigs, branches and even small tree trunks

Young trees of Jacaranda with a diameter of 1.5 to 2 inches have been killed by thorn bugs in the Tampa area. The trunks were so heavily infested that is was difficult to place a finger anywhere on the trunk without touching a specimen.
