Loss to Roma, but apparently some positives to take from the game. Didn't watch whole game, but Shelvey had quite a decent game. Spearing really not coming to the park. Can't wait to see what happens with a full strength squad and all the Internationals back. Hopefully Saturday

That is why there is the eagerness to get Allen signed, I heard a 2nd bid was made today... Spearing not good enough, it will be at least 3-4 months before Lucas will be back to the physical condition he was before the injury...did u see how thin his legs are?... So Allen will come in as the rotation player in the DM position.

Seems like Aquilani is on his way out.

Don't think he ever really had a chance to prove himself, but I reckon it's a welcome end to the distraction his manager caused with the will he stay or will he go bullpoo he spouted for the last couple of seasons.

I hope this allen kid is not the same one I watched for team Gb. He got strolled passed like he wasnt even there.

You know Stuart Pearce is the manager for Team GB right? Judging players under that guy is pointless. He is useless.

Well he never really wanted to be here. Good riddance, even if he wasn't that bad. Apparently he was on 125k a week :/

Just by getting rid of Maxi, Kuyt and Aquilani will reportedly save 15.6mil a year.

First competitive game of the season tonight, Liverpool vs FC Gomel (Europa League third qualifying round). Doesn't seem to be on Supersport though?

According to reports Rodgers will use a mixture of youth and some experience for tonight's match, so still part of pre-season of sorts, but of course would be important to avoid losing. Seems Suarez will be available for the return leg next week after Uruguay got kicked out of the Olympics...

Yup, Gomel own the TV rights so Supersport won't be showing the game.

I hope tonight's match goes well.
