Even though it was against Gomel. Must say I was really entertained by Liverpool's play. Suarez was brilliant. Real partnership developing with Gerrard. Borini first goal. Stunner from Johnson. Joe Allen sitting in the directors box. Good night.

yeah, things looking good at ANFIELD. manager, players, supporters are all buzzing. we need at least another winger and a striker. dempsey and gaston ramirez/adam johnson will do nicely.

So good to see Lucas back :D

Our passing and movement was incredible to watch. Although we did get tired towards the end of the second half.

Suarez was immense, Gerrard ran the show. Shelvey looks tidy after a terrific pre-season. Spearing was crud as always (when he came on at the end.)

Also really good to see Borini score on his debut. He reminds me as a combination of Kuyt and Maxi. Has Kuyts workrate and Maxi's touch. Great player.

Should be seeing Allen completing his move to Anfield today.

really hop Agger stays. i still think we can get Allen, Dempsey and another winger somehow.

Rodgers wants Agger to stay, Agger wants to stay, Gerrard wants Agger to stay. It's in the owners hands now.

Agger pitched up with "Y.N.W.A" tattooed on his knuckles. I think its clear that he is staying.

Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Joe Allen has today completed his transfer from Swansea City.

The Wales international signed a long-term contract after passing a medical at Melwood.

After finalising the deal, Allen told Liverpoolfc.com: "I feel incredible. Everyone knows the history of this club, it's a massive club, and I'm delighted to have joined.

"The passion that people here have for football is something I share and I want to be part of that.

"I'm looking forward to being part of some great years ahead for Liverpool Football Club."

The 22-year-old becomes our second summer signing following the arrival of Fabio Borini.

Brendan Rodgers said: "I'm absolutely delighted that Joe has made the decision to come with us on this journey.

"Joe is a player whose profile will fit perfectly with the ideas of this group. His ability to control and dominate the ball is an important ingredient in our attempt to gain success on the field.

"Joe has had a fantastic education at Swansea City and will now begin the next chapter in his exciting career, and I wish him all the very best in what I'm sure will be a long and distinguished career here at Liverpool."

Bellamy, what a guy.

"He's brilliant, what a good player," said Craig Bellamy.
