I always thought Gerrard was at his most dangerous just behind the striker. Is this a front three with him on the right?

That's what I think as well. Don't think he'd drop his 4-3-3.

Don't see him leaving Allen, Lucas, Sahin or Gerrard out so it probably will be 4-3-3, but Gerrard might not play every week (he is getting old now). It also brings massive competition for places in the squad so people are going to have to play well to stay in the side, and hopefully Spearing will be kept out.

Adam is probably on his way out (THANK GOODNESS), Henderson is decent he fits Rodgers style probably will be used in rotation with the other midfielders. Downing isn't a bad player, I'm sure he will be okay under Rodgers (he has already scored for us in a competitive fixture) so things are looking good for once.

He was playing for Turkey last night, so it should be finalized today.

We signed a winger!!!

Liverpool Football Club have reached an agreement with SC Heerenveen for the transfer of winger Oussama Assaidi, subject to the player passing a medical.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie, will now undergo a medical at Melwood.

Assaidi has represented his native Morocco 22 times since making his international debut in February 2011.

One of the highlights of his young career came in a 6-2 win over FC Twente in 2010 when he scored a hat-trick and assisted the other three goals.

Assaidi looks like an exciting and talented winger. Hopefully this is the missing piece we've been waiting for. I've been wanting a properly good winger for ever and he seems good!
