We are actually starting like UTD last season, first the manager, than players, than manager again.
Yesterday, the players were awful, Allen Hendo and Coutinho could not pass, could not stop. I can go on about the rest of the squad where Ballo looked average yet was the best player for LFC.

Yeah, this week is going to be vital. Draw against Madrid and a win against the moaners is good enough for me

Wtf is it with the lone striker tactic. It's been proven game after game that it does not work especially as our midfield do not carve open the defence for the striker to be effective. I suspect he played Sterling out wide after seeing the goal by Balo with that cross from Borini. It is such stupidity to expect Sterling who's become accustomed to the playmaker role to run up and down the wing drilling in crosses. I am a seriously frustrated supporter at the moment purely because none of our tactics make any sense.

I would've thought that by now, following the 2nd half against Hull and the win in midweek, Rodgers would've realised that playing two up front is the way to go.

he knows how he wants to play but now he doesn't have players for this system anymore. so does he go back to 4-4-2 while sturridge is unavailable? fsuck no. keeps on shagging that ugly horse. definition of insanity. until sturridge is available he needs to play the system that suits the current personnel. trip to spain. another effing spanking with this stubborn tactics.

wasn't near a tv on Saturday so caught the highlights. mistake by Moreno gets punished again. but they had a lot of chances. BR must be wondering what's going on. experiencing a CF of note currently.

Yes, and a lone striker's role does not suit Balotelli, and seeing as he insists on playing him. . .

I am not even a Liverpool fan and I've seen enough to know that the minute someone else is up front with Mario you have an entirely different player.

Suarez played as we were playing with an extra man on the field. i also don't see that hunger and chasing down every ball to put the opposition under pressure.

Which is made worse because he is insisting on playing the system that was built around Suarez.

Like he was when playing for both City (alongside Aguero / Dzeko) and Milan (when played alongside El Shaarawy).

I watched a lot of Milan games last season, they usually played a 4-2-3-1 with Balotelli as a lone striker. El Shaarawy was injured for most of last season.

Although i must say, they played quite a few different formations under different managers and when they did play the 4-2-3-1 , one of the 3 often came up and played alongside him. Playing two upfront will likely help Balo though.

Milan did not do well last season.
