No. Nothing dubious about any of their goals. Not offside for first goal and the ball was in play when they scored the second.

First goal came of Matic who was in an offside position? The could of had a penalty too.

Two players ahead in the box or else it's offside (if I recall the rule correctly). That shows Matic was onside. Incidentally, this also shows how easy it is to coach defending. hue hue

I could be wrong but i dont think that is the right moment, i will look at a replay and see.

Edit: Im wrong, it wasn't offside.

Do you have a link to the second goal? My initial thought was the player on the line was offside when Diego Costa shot. And it's difficult to say he wasn't interfering with play as he was right in the way of the Liverpool keeper.

The loss to Chelsea I can stomach ( they are the form side after all) but the loss to Ireland in the rugby! Eish

Back to soccer, only saw snippets of the game but it looked as if the reffing was once again lacking( not blaming the ref for the loss mind you) - rub against us this time in that regard - real pity - TV replays would sort out a lot of that.

Never realized that Costa was such a dirty bugger though - disappointed actually.

Very disappointed that BR didn't play Toure.

Dammit!

Oh ja, and Johnson and Lovren can just fark off!

It's the old team selection problem with BR. Toure proved to be the organiser we've been lacking in the defence, Skrtel and Lovren are both rubbish at the moment.

Henderson was piss poor today and should have been subbed, BR puts Allen on instead of our big signing Lallana. It is really a logical conundrum trying to figure out what exactly it is that BR is doing with the team at the moment. He does not know what his best 11 is nor what formation they should play, midway through a season that is serious cause for concern.

With all that said I must say the team played much better than the other games we've played this season. Aside from the lack of shots and play in the final third we seemed a bit more fluent.

BR digging a hole for himself with his nonsensical selections and substitutions.

I know akes likes Ballo, but he was left on for much too long

Lovren may be something for the future but he needs to learn his craft in the cup games.

Ok, I'm kind of irritated with today's team selection. I honestly do not see why Mario is playing as a lone striker, I don't understand why Toure and Manq was dropped, I don't understand why Can was subbed instead of Hendo, I don't understand why Couts was taken off instead of Sterling.... I honestly believe we could have taken the game to them today...really disappointed....
