Did I just see a big forward score? A bit unplayable so far tonight. Are you watching rodgers? Pretty soccer only my ugly butt. Won't always work.

well if the city game and the fact that we playing at home does not motivate the players then we have serious problems. we never had a real manager that gives the players a hairdryer treatment like old fergie. i wonder who BR is going to play in the next 3 games in CB with Skrtl. i hope its the young Uruguyan instead af Carragher. he is dog slow, even and old timer can pass him easily. are we going with an offensive approach or just suck it up and play on the counter. interesting times ahead

The center pairing is a catch 22 for me. Coates is younger and faster, but inexperienced. Where Carragher is older and slower, but again more experienced. And I think BR is going to go with Carragher.

And come on guys, its the 1st game. 1 games down and everybody is worrying already. Yes we had many bad seasons and the start of this season is not the start anybody wanted. Look City just scraped through against Southampton with 11 players on the field and Utd lost to Everton.

I'm hoping we just had an off day.

As for the CB issue, I'd play Coates and Skrtel. If Coates makes a mistake at least he can learn from it, Carragher is past it even if his organization skills are good.

Carra gonna give away a penalty. He can't keep up with Dzeko let alone the players with a bit of pace.

You do know Fallaini plays for Everton. I am sure Liverpool will not be top in the list of clubs they will be willing to sell him too.

Hello ye mighty Reds!

I'd just like to show you something...

Downing: Games: 37 Assists: 0
Hazard: Games: 2 Assists: 5

(league only)

That is all.

We had a second string team on the field. Sterling, Robinson, Spearing, Adam all started. Downing came on and played at LB.

1-0 is an ok result I think. Under previous managers we probably would've lost the game.

The fact that Spearing was on the field with Adam probably compounded the issue. Once Allen came on we looked much much much better.
