Reina with another howler. He isn't the keeper he used to be.

So as things stand we have no center forwards and no goalkeeper.

It's going to be a very very very long frustrating season.

We play well. We just dont take our chances and get punished. Think we need to hook BR up with a witchdoctor to change our luck.

Hey mate, Rodgers is the right man for the job. It will take time. We knew before the season began that there is a very real chance we could come with 0 points from the first 5 games.

We can't fix the stuff ups of H&G+Hodgson+Kenny+Comolii in 1 window.

Yes today sucked, but we still need to support the team and the manager, however that doesn't mean we can't criticize a bad performance. For me Gerrard and Suarez + Borini were hopeless today. Gerrard has given the away the ball 3 times in the last 3 matches that have directly resulted in the opposition scoring. Hope Rodgers has the guts to drop him, because Gerrard is obviously not interested in playing the way Rodgers wants him to.

Don't think anyone minds the culture shift but it's the end result that's been the same. They bossed WBA for most of the 1st half and should've had it all sewn up by half time, instead it's a 3-0 tonking. 2-2 against City when really they should've won and 0-2 to the Arse that we didn't dominate but we did a lot of good things.

The playing style might've changed, and it's looking pretty good, they've played well in midfield, but the team still can't hit the long side of a Dreamliner hanger from 5 metres out. You didn't need a tactical genius to figure out we needed to get some goals in the team, so instead we get rid of a goal scoring midfielder, let 2 proven premier league strikers wander off for free & give Sam Allardyce the Christmas present he always wanted. All followed by one of the more awful games of transfer deadline chicken ever played, making the management team look a bit silly not to mention leaving the team worse off up front than it was to begin with.

By Brendan Rogers' very own words, he must be a nutcase. Although my guess would be he's been made to look like a nutcase by the people negotiating the transfers. I doubt he'd have let Carroll go if he knew what a buggerup deadline day would be.

Not saying give him the chop or anything but after some big talking by all parties early on, it all looks a bit amateur.

So tired of this freaking amateur hour. Why don't we have competent people. Easy to see why rafa got so frustrated with the way the club is run. But then again giving the manager the freedom of anfield doesn't work either. So I'm stumped. I just cant believe we can't get competent people still. The club is in the crapper because of this nonsense.

I saw most of the first half. some good chances and positions created but wrong choice of shot or final ball. stevie needs to pull his finder out of his butt and lead this squad. Yes I know he gave the ball away for that first goal but damn out was about 10 meters outside the arses box. the new pair in the middle obviously have no understanding yet.

To top it off that saahin is a lazy bum. For a couple of that breaks he looks at the guy break and actually made no effort to get back. That made me .

Allen was better. But again sterling was good. Suso + pacheco + a youth striker needs to move up. Definite role for them to play. And take it easy on rogers, he has to answer for the idiots who messed up this transfer window.

If I were them I'd throw money at Drogba to play for LFC, though if the Dempsey transfer saga is to believed, there is no more money..

FSG are trying to get LFC to be self sufficient. I.e. we can only spend what we make. I don't think we will get Drogba the guy would want 200k a week. I don't think we will get anybody until January. We just have to try and hang on until then.

Well, what's the alternative? Suarez has never been especially prolific for LFC, Borini looks like he doesn't like playing wide, and I'm not sure where the goals will come from.. If you guys don't get cracking, the club could find itself in a danger zone come January, and not only will the top goalscorers not want to come to an ailing club, there's the danger you might have to deal with another sacking and start all over again.

i think our style of play is a hell of a lot better then it was under kenny! WE atleast get forward now and our passing looks good.

Allen is a top class signing, sterling is also solid! Stevie G has been rather below average. I think Shelvey should get more play, as he looks like he could actually put a ball in the net!

Reina needs to be benched! he had more bad games then good last season and this season has been no better. He loses us a lot of games.

The alternative is playing Borini in the middle (his natural position) and Suarez on the right (where he was so prolific for Ajax and Uruguay.) That and playing our younger players (Morgan -> good work rate, good movement and positioning), Yesil (very promising) although I really don't like that we have to rely on the young players so much (even if Sterling is playing like a boss!)
Also Assaidi is due to start playing soon (he is playing for reserves tommorrow night) so he could come into the team and provide something different.

I really hope we don't fire another manager. We need to stick with BR for a couple of seasons at least.

Our style of play is better, but there are few things that worry me:
1)We've conceded 7 goals in 3 matches.
2)No goals from open play
3)Gerrard seems to be doing his own thing and it hurts us (he gave away possession 24 times today!!!!!!) he honestly needs to be benched for a while. I think Shelvey could do a much much much better job at the moment.
4)Reina needs to be better. He has a howler just about every game and hardly ever seems to do his job. He also passes the ball at the very last moment which gives me a mini heart attack every single time. I really wish we'd stop playing back to him so often.
5)Yeah, no center forward is a major concern.

However, there is 1 positive. Allen is top class. He is like the new Xabi Alonso, his passing is ridiculously good and the commentators were talking rubbish when they said all he does is pass backwards and sideways. 78% of his passes went forward.
