From that pic I see Shelvey's studs up on Evans ankle. Red card. Evans went in studs up as well, but they weren't on Shelvey's leg.

Yup Evans went in studs up, but they didn't land on Shelvey's leg. Shelvey's studs landed on Evans leg hence the red card. If Shelvey hadn't planted his foot on Evans leg he wouldn't have gotten a red card.
