we need a bloody win this weekend. to cap the play off.

enjoyed wednesday's game. if we manage to hold them all together we could have a good team. only cloud is downing. always defended him but after that gutless display im fed up. he was about the most expensive player out there for us and easily the worst. they should let suso play in the role that shelvey has had. behind the striker. that second goal was just delicious...

He should have gotten the same punishment, but his fine is also much higher 220k compared to 40k

They were both fined the equivalent of 1 weeks wages + a bit extra.

At the time (before Suarez signed his new contract he was only earning +-35k a week).

Yeah doesn't sound legit. That's about what Smalling was making after his first salary upgrade.

No way, only 35k, for a guy that costed 25 million. Strange

Yup, he was on some kind of deal where he had to prove his worth before being offered a new improved contract. (He is no on something closer to 100k a week).

Transfer fee not proportional wages paid.

Just remember LFC has vastly less revenue than Utd.

Link

Suarez has trebled his wages to become one of the club's highest paid players on £100,000 per week.

100k/3 = 33.33k

I know what I'm talking about.

Seems like you're right, he's trebled his wages to between 100k and 120k now.. Seems weird that he'd accept such a low offer when he came to LFC.

When he came to LFC he was still serving his ban for biting that guy at Ajax if I remember correctly. That might have influenced our ability to offer him a lower wage, with some conditions.

Yeah, since we dont offer ECL, i thought we would have to offer good wages.
With Suarez, I guess we had to accept the trouble he comes with.

Makes sense Terry should have gotten 8 games. Imagine the uproar if this was a United player.

Lol. Everything always comes back to United for some LFC supporters doesn't it

To be fair in my experience Utd fans I know are just as obsessed with LFC (even these days when we are a midtable team).

It's nice to rub it in... esp with all those fans saying come back when we have 18 :D

Nah. There are some, but not like the LFC fans, only have to look above. Wtf does United have to do with John Terry's ban?

Don't know why you are saying "Nah", I said "in MY experience the Utd fans I know..." I must just know one hell of a lot of the "some" that you refer to. (My bad luck) haha :p , most of my best mates are Utd fans too which makes life hard at times haha.

I have no idea why he would bring Utd in the John Terry saga :/ Probably because of MAN UTD CONSPIRACY HURR DURR!
