Ourselves and Arsenal did the business against them. It's United City and Spurs who rolled over. If those 3 had played to at least a draw, well there is your 7 points.

They need a couple of injuries to level the playing field (lol, that's what everyone said about Leicester last season)

At this rate the League is theirs
The timing of when you play a team makes a rather large difference.
Chelsea had a rocky start. Had to grind out a few results and got lucky in a few games.
City on the other hand started full of confidence.
United played both these teams in a form run. Although they did roll over to Chelsea.

Lets hope it goes down to the wire....

we don't want a leicester-like scenario again......more so if Chelsea is the benefactor of such success.

Howdy fellow scousers, where can I buy LFC kit locally, prefer Cape Town area. Where can I get it the best price and is there really a big difference between the big store replicas and those on the flea markets.

I have heard about Total Sports, Mikes Sports, Jack Lemkus so far, but where else can I try. Would also love to out maybe a name and EPL badges on the sides.
Hi Kopite, if you join the supporters club. They give a big discount on the merchandise. www.liverpoolrsa.co.za

Courtois fails to pull off that brilliant save in the dying minutes and they drop points against the bottom side......

Yeah, teams kinda ride their luck.

Lets hope Benteke and co and do something about it this game week.

Costa is a yellow away from a suspension and Hazard with a niggle.

They can be beaten.

They couldn't do the business at home against United, I don't see them doing it against Chelsea

Some stats so far :
Offensive Shots per game : 18.4 2nd behind Tottenham.
Yellow cards : 24 best, Mourinho's team on 42 the worst.
Possession : 59% behind Man City (60%)

Passes : 613 best in league although a lot is the slooow build up side to side or back in the case of Henderson.
Assists : quite a few from crosses and very little throughballs, Chelsea with Costa finishing have been better with throughballs and little through crosses.

Goal types : 27 open play (behind Arsenal on 28), 0 counter attack (!), 8 set piece ( a bit of turn up compared to the past), and 5 penalties. I guess with our low concession of shots, build ups and pressing style (33% of time we spend in the opposition 3rd, best in league) we are hardly the classic Klopp counter attacking team.

Aerials Won : 13.9/game 2nd worst in league.
Conceded Shots per game : 7.8, best in league ahead of City. 73% of the shot attempts against us come down the middle which is the highest in league. 47% of those shots are from outside the box with the opposition spending 23% of their time in our third, strongest in league.

So we don't offer too many shots, not many in our 3rd, most down the centre. And let in 20 through.

Buzzing for tonight...
Need the 3 points considering the result from yesterday's game, and to stay in touch with leaders.

16 games, 40 goals, played 7 of the top 10 with Everton and City to come. Of the 9 other top 10 teams City will be our 3rd home, with United and West Brom the other 2. So Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Southampton, Everton still to visit us.
