Nor does Lord Flacko if I remember correctly...

I know he doesn't? I never insinuated that he does.

Not sure if he thinks you guys support Pool or if he is talking about United not having CL again (think its the former)

He thinks we are all Liverpool supporters, otherwise the comment wouldn't make sense with United definitely making 4th.

Lol

Real Madrid and Manchester United fans discussing and offending each other in the Liverpool Supporters thread...

Go figure

The discussion is about Liverpool getting top 4.

It is?

Seems to me it was about United getting Top 4.

Those Liverpool supporters who have posted in the thread since Saturdays drubbing are pretty much ad idem about Top 4 being out of reach - hell, Brendan Rogers has publicly stated that Top 4 is well-nigh unreachable...

Of course, the die-hard fans (ahem, cough, cough) will always hold out some hope until it's actually mathematically impossible :D

No, the conversation started with you saying Liverpool are out of top 4, then b@rrels said its not over United still have tough games. I then agreed with b@rrels but said Liverpool will probably have to win all their remaining games.

Liverpool have a very outside chance of getting top 4, anything can happen in football. I've seen leads like this thrown away before. I remember City beating United to the title a few years ago with a similar lead and United did the same to Arsenal. I still think there are a few twists and turns to go but Liverpool will need to quickly find their form again if its to happen.

Maybe but if you look at it this way, if United beat City on the weekend and Liverpool win then you're only 4 points behind them.

Yeah, the thing about catching teams up is your ability to win, I'm not seeing that right now. + we still have to face Chelsea Away.

Sure, that's why it probably also rests on Liverpool winning all their remaining fixtures.

and then it was all non-Liverpool fans commenting until post 1019 which is when I pointed that out :D - no worries, I'm just being pedantic :D

The FA should be our aim now IMO. Let BR try and get his first piece of silverware at the club and give stevie a good farewell.

/ waits for Blackburn to beat us on Wednesday.

Game night tonight, let's hope the lads pull their fingers out their arse and put in a performance.

It's not like we've never finished 7th before either... it's actually the norm now.

There were other circumstances involved as well.

Sure, probably more than we know of, but in the end this is a results driven business and that is how most managers are measured, as perceived by fans. Had Kenny gotten 4th that year, would FSG still have given him the boot? Are different metrics applicable to Rodgers despite his woeful transfer record, his European failures, being outclassed by the top 4 clubs this season (P9 W1 D1 L7 if i recall) and his repeated tendency to put his foot into it in the media?
