Can Rodgers take us any further?
Can Rodgers attract the big names?
Can Rodgers maintain CL?
Can Rodgers set us up tactically to win in the big games?
My answer for all these is NO.
When we had to beat Basel at Anfield to go through the CL we drew, when we had to draw against Besiktas to get through the Europa we lost, We had to win The scum and Arsenal to push into the the top 4 and grab a CL spot and we lost, we got to the semi finals in the Capital One cup vs Chelsea and lost, we played Bolton at Anfield to get through to the quarter finals and we had to have a replay, we played Blackburn at Anfield to get through to the semi's and we had to have a replay.
And then Sunday we HAD to win Villa in the semi finals to save our season and give us a chance to win a trophy and we lost again over and over and over again.
In the big games and when we need a win his tactics are poor, how many times did he switch formation that game and nothing happened we couldn't keep the ball. How many poor games have we had this season because he didn't change formation or players and his stubbornness cost us points in games? 3 years running his season starts around December, we need consistency and he can't give us that. Last season was one of the best seasons I've had and I thank him for that but we finished 2nd we didn't win anything. I've supported Rodgers through the good and the bad but i have had enough now.

Club owners have confirmed that BR will remain. I sincerely hope he takes the hard lessons dished out to him to heart and propels us to success next season.

Big, historical club, but not as much money as its rivals.
Young squad, fans thirsting for success.

Pretty much what Dortmund were before he took over.

100% agree. Klopp is looking for a club he can have more than 1 season to garner success...more build a style of play and legacy than immediate success. I think he would be a great fit at Liverpool and definitely better than Brendan given the same amount of time.

However, will FSG choose to replace Brendan and go through another season of rebuilding with Klopp or keep Rodgers? I think keeping Brendan for now would be prudent...tough choice either way. Getting the Gerrard saga out the way might be just the thing Liverpool need...looking pretty good for next season if they can get a decent striker in the transfer window.
