Don't think most clubs would officially publish their targets for a season; this is usually internally determined between the club and the manager in terms of objectives.

However Rodgers being Rodgers has mentioned it several times in the media with his typical shoot yourself in the foot remarks.

Example Rodgers says main objective this season is silverware

Thanks, that's what I thought - no reason to publish that kind of thing.

I like Brendan in general...he's one of the few post-match interviews I bother to watch. Mostly, I think the player buying policy needs to change. I don't know if it was the timing of Suarez leaving that messed things up but it should have been possible to get better players in than Lambert \ Balotelli for the money Barca paid.

It's going to be harder next season if 'Pool don't get into the Champions League...I'm hoping they're brave enough to throw some money at top tier players and get them in. The league needs something more than it has currently....here's to a better competition for the Blues next season.

They won't get rid of Rogers.
If they do, that would be a really dumb move.

Two reasons for Liverpool's disappointing season:

  1. Sturridge injured.
  2. Roger's took a gamble on Ballotelli and it didn't pay off.
At the time I think it was worth taking a chance on him.

As of today: Played 34 l Goals For 47 l Goals Against 37

Last Year: Played 34 l Goals for 93 l Goals against 42

He just needs to get a quality striker that doesn't get injured all the time, and a quality midfielder to replace Gerrard.
Based on the drop in goals scored this season compared to last season, 5th place is pretty impressive.

Balo was a panic buy. I had hopes and still do, but was not well considered. That's was not the only bad buy this season.

We needed a better squad for Europe....but we didn't even have an adequate squad for local tournaments. By squad I mean at least 1.5 decent players per position....we cannot depend on a single striker

Charlie Austin and Danny Ings will be looking for new clubs next season.
Both quality strikers.

We need to fire the Transfer Committee team.
Keep BR and promote give more resources to the Youth Academy (or whomever found Sterling and Ibe).

The TC don't decide on tactics, team selection, playing people out of their natural positions or in unsuitable roles...repeatedly. Or even multiple desperate formation changes within a match.

LFC has got to think carefully if this manager has taken the team as far as he is capable of. He may the best of the mid-table managers, but to take the team to the next level will require a manager on a higher level. Question is can he evolve to that next level or will it be another season wasted...

Great goal from Coutinho - a ray of light in a game that isn't great from a Liverpool pov so far
