Yeah, whilst he maybe on his way to a star, he is far from it. If he believes the grass is greener on the other side, let him go and find out. He will get a rude awakening when he becomes a squad player at a top club.

I think Sterling is quite a dangerous player with that "special" quality - tough one to loose

Doesn't seem like u guys are keeping your top players - Sturridge next?

No top club would come near him with his injury record.

Sterling on his way out apparently.

Ai, good luck to him - he definitely doesn't have the same pro attitude that Luis had (even when Luis wanted to leave he still gave 100% on the field) - Sterling's game has noticeably deteriorated since the interview debacle.

Eish, next season is going to be tough for us, really tough...

Eish...

Were is he going though?

Think he made it public that he wants to leave Pool - no bids before that, so they might start coming in now. Who knows, they may have even been having talks with potential suitors already (you know how these things go)

He is a very good player and will have no issues finding a club

Keep: Sakho, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Manq, Ilori Toure, Flanno, Allen, Hendo, Lallana, Ibe, Marko, Studge.

Sell: Jones, Johnson, Enrique, Lucas, Balo, Lambert, Alberto, Borini, Aspas, Sterling (happily sell him for 30-40m, really don't think he is worth it).

Just wish we could go back to when we had all Suarez money. I would've made different signing for 100m.

He is an average squad player and I'm tired of those. Nothing wrong with him, just get someone much better like Khedira. If you lucky then Vidal.

He is a very good player and will have no issues finding a club

Lets say he stays in the EPL, he'll be looking to move up. If you look at the teams above Liverpool in the log were is he going to go.

United? Maybe you can comment, I'm not sure what the situation is there. What positions you guys are looking strengthen.

Arsenal - At this point he'll not be an upgrade on any players we currently have in the position he plays.

City - City is probably his best bet, since it seems Milner is leaving and City will need to balance there numbers with regards to English players. Don't reckon this will be a great move for his career though. At City you could be obselete in a single transfer window and they don't have a great record with regards to talented english youngsters. Jack Rodwell, Adam Johnson for example.

Chelsea - Don't see him going there. I might be wrong.

He is leaving for trophies. Arsenal is Arsenal, United is still rebuilding, City and Chelsea are probably his best bet for trophies.

He is jumping the gun imo. Being ill advised and he might find his career going of the tracks. Being bit part at City is not going to do his career any good and if goes to Arsenal, then he is a liar about the I'm leaving for trophies bit. :p:D

I believe he wants to play for teams fighting for trophies.

United - actually spoke to a fan on the United board who grew up with Sterling. Says Sterling is a United fan. Not sure if we need more wingers after Depay and looking at Bale. But maybe LVG (who likes working with young talent and always open to giving them the chance) will look at him as an option. Bale Dimaria and Young on the left, Depay, Sterling and Valencia on the right. Valencia may be more a backup RB so Sterling will get a look in. We will be fighting for trophies on all fronts next year, so its more than rebuilding

Gunners - I think he is better than Wellbeck and possibly Walcott, who are the only 2 winger type players you have. I could be wrong. And dont sell yourself that short, as you won the FA cup last year and in the final this year

City - I think he is better than Navas and Milner on the wing

He did well with quality players last season (Like Suarez and Sturridge), but with them out, he is left with a pretty k@k team:D - so leaving to play in and amongst better players could see him get back to his best

My point is that he needs regular football to develope. None of these options I've listed is going to give him that. So why not stay at Liverpool for another contract and then make a move.

Given the form he was in when Suarez was there last, he would get a regular place in those sides. If he isn't motivated (be it coz of a show of no ambition or positive progress by the club, lack of quality players, him being too heavily relied on, or management) in his current team and performs accordingly, then he isn't developing anyway. He might benefit more playing with better players in a better management.

Agree, he could elevate himself to such an extent where he could walk into Chelsea's team, like Suarez did.

Its a catch 22, if hes playing in a team that's not performing it can become harder for him to perform. Otherwise yeah he could have issues getting into another team.

If i was Sterling, get assurances that Liverpool will get a proper striker that he can play with and im sure he will be able to perform properly.

So I've been scarce lately, my Masters has been catching up with me and I've been busy doing a lot of other stuff so I haven't watched many games this season, but it seems like Rodgers was tactically out of his depth a lot of the time - even with all the injuries we had.

I actually think he would be a good addition to Arsenal. We do not have that many out and out wingers. Most of the players we play as wingers are actually central midfielders (Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil) who tend to come inside to often. I would like to see the likes of Sterling bombing down on the outside of the defense to stretch it and give our midfielders space to move into.

Sterling could play wide left and bring Sanchez in a central striker with Walcott on the right. That would be a nice speedy strike force.
