Benteke is good. He is bloody good in the air, hold up the ball and a good finisher. Who else is available?

Well, if that's Milner's gripe, good luck to him with Brendan who has no qualms playing people out of their 'preferred' positions :whistling:

Benteke - 32.5 million pound release clause  for Benteke! - fck me sideways

BR would have to change our style of play to suit Benteke's game - he didn't bother to do it for Mario, why would he for Benteke?

I have no doubt that he is good, just not sure he is 32.5 million quid good...

PS: Dunno why we're not looking in Europe (someone like Calla who scored the goals in the Europa League final)

The problem is nobody wants to play for BR the way he handles players. Gutted the owners did not give him the boot.

we need a striker who moves between the channels, has pace, skill and a bit of trickery.

Thing is our movement off the ball was terrible last season. Players like Coutinho and Lallana will benefit the most from having strikers pulling defenders away and creating space.

Also, I've noticed that we don't commit enough bodies in the box IMO. Henderson is always at the edge of the box and I think his late runs are well timed but you can't have a single body in the box to aim for. You need your wide players to come round the back post...

Lol Skrtel's rant...

REDS' SKRTEL OFFER 'UNACCEPTABLE'

Martin Skrtel has described the contract offered to him by Liverpool as "unacceptable" and more suited to an older player with health problems.

The defender has just over a year remaining on his current contract at Anfield and has turned down the club's first offer of an extension, hinting he is open to the idea of moving on this summer.

"It's unacceptable for me," Skrtel said regarding the Reds' offer in an interview with Slovakian website Akualne.

"I think that contracts like this are offered to players who are much older than me or the player who had some health problems.

"The contract which has been offered to me is unacceptable, so I did not sign it. I have one year left and there has been some speculation about the interest from other clubs. We will see what happens."

Balo to Inter?

Assuming we will never get 12m out of Sunderland for Borini now?

How the hell did we not pack his suitcase, push him into a car, drive him to Sunderland gift wrapped and take the money and run???

HOW?

Sunderland offer was 14million... :crying: I respect the kid for wanting to fight for a place but when the manager tells you that you have no place, then surely.. anyway....

Looks like we are trying to find new homes for Balo, Fabio and Lambert.
Incoming Origi, Ings and hopefully another one but one with more pedigree.

14million is even more depressing :(

we need a quality striker as we can't rely on Sturridge's fitness.

should have told me **** off or we will let you rot in the reserves. BR wasn't firm enough IMO. I mean if is abundently clear and I mean the managers tells you plain down to " piss off" its unlikely he would stayed.

Are you a LFC supporter mate? (asking 'cos then I can add you to the OP list)

To your question/statement, manager is the boss, he don't believe you're the right person for the job, he has the right to fire your ass - that's the nature of being in charge of a sport team.

I've come to realise that loyalty is not a word you associate with football these days. Your 1 man clubs are very very few and far between

He's a gunner, if memory serves.
