Klopp for the Kop?

Just when we thought rumours of the former Borussia Dortmund manager replacing Brendan Rodgers were over...
“The Premier League is very exciting,” his agent Marc Kosicke said, rubbing his hands together. “And we do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them. But I am not sure the profile of the job could work.
“In Germany there is a clear separation between manager and sporting director and I think in principle this is very good. Jürgen does not like to speak to players’ agents or to carry out a transfer. So we have to see which is the most useful arrangement.”
In what appears to be a blatant 'come and get me' plea to FSG, Kosicke then went on to explain that Klopp would see it as a challenge to take on a club that's not in the Champions League...
“It is always all about the challenge. When Jürgen signed for Dortmund there were other clubs who had better prestige and were in better financial mood at this time. Nevertheless he decided for Dortmund.
“He has the great ability to develop things. If he goes into a stadium, feels the energy and thinks that he can make a difference here, this could be more attractive to him than going with the big deals and aim for the treble.”

I like those in bold. Ball is in FSG's hands now. I faking hope it materialise

I doubt it very very much. I think they gave their backing to Rodgers already and that is the way its going to stay. Would LOVE to see Klopp as manager next season. Maar ja

In regards to the City offer of £30m that has just been rejected

@OliverKayTimes
I'm told #LFC value Sterling at £50m+. Not sure their contract offer reflects that, but that's another story ..

So true, surely a player thats worth so much to Liverpool should also be worth a very good contract?

And therein lies part of the problem. LFC's valuation is not only about his value today, but his future value. Granted it is impossible to accurately predict how he will develop and to put a value to that, but that is sort of what everyone tries to do when setting a price for a young player when he gets sold. That's in terms of the sale.

In terms of the contract offer made to RS, LFC have also incorporated the idea of his value today, and the increase in his value and development with time based on his contributions to the team. LFC moved to an incentive based contract system a couple of years ago and the players that have performed and that have improved have seen their contracts improve and their earnings improve with it. Luis was according to reports at the time signed on about 80k a week, by the time he signed his last deal with us he was earning over 200k per week, easily making him the clubs highest earner, ahead of Stevie. Studge signed a deal worth a reported 150k per week last season.

If RS and his agent want to ignore the fact that he still has lots of development to do, then they will find LFC very difficult to budge in terms of the offer. Other clubs may offer him more now, but I doubt he would be starting every week at other teams. I want it sorted, quickly, either way.
