Liverpool Gifting The Title To Manchester United - Tony Cascarino

“Liverpool’s amazing 4-4 draw with Arsenal seems to have ended the title race with Manchester United’s 2-0 home win over Portsmouth,” said Cascarino. “For me, the race was over before these results. Games were running out and the clock was ticking down and there was just not enough time for Liverpool to overtake Sir Alex [Ferguson]’s side.

“The simple fact of the matter is that the Liverpool squad doesn’t possess as much quality as Manchester United’s. After all, drawing a third of your games suggests they are missing something of a cutting edge. Rafa Benitez’s side may have finally found their scoring boots but they’ve also suddenly gone from solid at the back to some of the worst defending in the Premier League.

It's called a squad in development.

Players are human beings at the end of the day. Defensive errors costs a few wins lately but "to err is human".

The development cycle isn't complete, so Liverpool should be applauded for the real progress made this season.

Yossi has filled in brilliantly in Steven Gerrard's absence, and put the myth to rest that Liverpool only play when he's in the team.

So all the 'Pool haters ... find another thread to troll :D

Many of those draws were down to a lack of luck.

Hitting the upright and the crossbar, clearances off the line, etc cannot be discounted.

I'm tired of these pundits with a so-called opinion. The fact of the matter is, with the squads Man Utd and Chelsea have - they should win every trophy available every season. It doesn't happen!

Now that Liverpool put up the first decent league challenge since 96/97, the doom mongers are in for them. Absolute madness!

Building a successful side takes time, if you like it or not. Buying the right players is a difficult proposition. A player might be a good player in another league (e.g. Morientes) but if they don't hit it off the English Premiership ... whose fault is it?

No, no, no.....the whole 4-1 thread was all about the united fans talking that they gonna beat pool and what not - so when pool gave them that hiding all we heard was - don't worry we gonna win the quintupple....and now?

at the end of the day your team can play the most attractive football and lose, you can blame draws and losses to luck.
All teams make mistakes but excuses don't work....4-1 is 4-1....4-4 is 4-4....loss is a loss and draw is a draw.....take it!

I hope that Liverpool draw their remaining games... the EPL needs some excitement. Sorry lads, being really selfish here :)

EDIT: So long as they are 6+ goal draws. If not, then I hope you win. OK? Happy? No flaming? Bah!
