Well I would like to add:

You guys got Downing while we got Young......long live KK....wahahahahaha:D:D:D:D

I dont get it, we also went in for Young but he chose UTD.
We had to settle for Downing.

BTW, young has not exactly shone for UTD, more bad games than good.

So the race for the Champions League spot is over - Time to focus on the FA Cup

We played so well on Saturday - such a pity we could not take our chances

I did not say he must go, god no, but as good, no wait, as brilliant as he is, he needs to start scoring more.
Who else in the EPL can beat defenders so easily.

True that... Astonishing to watch him get past two or three defenders in the box when he's on form. :D

Suarez plays much better with Kuyt than Carroll.

He creates alot of chances and im sure next season we will see him improve his goals to shots ratio.

Suarez playing for Uruguay is a different beast than the one who plays for Liverpool. If he didn't have to come in from so deep and was getting some decent service from the midfield instead of having to manufacture everything himself we may get a better return.

For me the biggest problem is a slow buildup from too deep. The problem is pushing up will expose the defense so we could end up getting a hiding.

But in the end, losses to the top teams don't tend to wreck your season, it's losses to minnows that does & we've had too many of them. We deserved more than we got but that can happen against a quality team.

Anybody notice how well the team plays with no Gerrard ?

Seems like Adam and Henderson actually play better behind the front 2 with no Gerrard.

Downing did well, i think L'Pool missed Glen Johnson going forward...... Johno gives the team so much more width going forward....

RVP is class, but it must a poor show by the back four including Reina for both goals.

You cant really give van Persie any sniff at goal.... he is that damn good.

Reina should have been more pro-active with the first goal and taken charge in the box.... and the second was amatuer keeping to be beaten at the near post.

Gerrard is going the same way as fat Frank.

Not getting the England captaincy will be the nail in his coffin. He is not the same player he has always been , after his injury.

If Kenny has any sense he should make Gerrard a CB.

He has no pace left to play in an attacking midfield role..... perhaps he will be forced to adopt a role as a DM .... much like Lucus.

It was becos of Spearing (Lucas did the same job before, and since his injury, our game has dropped).
Yesterday, Spearing covered the midfielders, which meant guys like Adam, Downing and Henderson did not have to track back so much. That meant that the same guys could apply the pressure in the opposition half.
When the CDM does not play, these guys sit back quite a bit...

The problem is Suarez himself. He's brilliant at getting himself into shooting and scoring opportunities, but is horrible when it comes to actually putting the ball in the back of the net.

LOL!

Anyone of the belief that Stevie is past it, is nothing short of deluded...

He is poor this season as a result of him having to sit deep as cover... Rafa showed the way to best utilize him, by either playing him on the right, or playing him high up as support to striker.. but in both positions, Stevie had freedom to roam.
Now he is more static and his game is more defensive than attacking.
He is not the one dictating the play, and as a result, our build-up is slow.

Gerrard a CB, you got to be kidding.. *facepalm*

Aqualani! I wish we could've kept him at LFC. If he plays 5 more games he is Milans to keep :(

A midfield of Gerrard + Aqualani + Lucas would've been epic :)

Your keeper should have come out for the first goal because the cross was from so far out. However you can't blame him for the second, most players would have needed a further touch & that gives the keeper time to see where the striker might go. So Reina probably expected RVP to take down the ball but he instead hit it first time, if he covers the near RVP had the rest of the goal wide open.
