They said yesterday that Herrera has scored 6 goals from 7 shots this season. That is both impressive, and surprising that he only had seven shots at goal. Surely he should be shooting more from midfield?

No that would mean United conceeding possession and that'll make LVG's ass twitch!

Just saw this rumour.

UNITED IN SHOCK CARVAJAL 'BID'

Manchester United have made a surprise bid for Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal, according to reports in Spain.
The 23-year-old’s future is currently up in the air after Madrid signed Danilo from Porto as their first-choice right back for next season.
Carvajal is reported set to to leave following the Danilo signing, and Sport claims United have made an offer to sign him.
The reports comes just days after The Mirror claimed United had ended their interest in long-term target Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne.
Madrid reportedly want around £22million for the Spaniard, although it is not known how much United have bid

This would be an epic signing for me.

Getting 20 million euros for him isn't worth it, i don't rate Lloris and we will pay through our teeth for him.

Agree, could argue that because of De Gea we are 4th and not 5th.... Thus club easily makes more than 20million more because of that 1 place. So even if you lose him for free, he would make you more than what you could potentially sell him for in that 1 season. Would feel different if the offer is significantly more.

Any deal with Levi at Tottenham is an absolute nightmare. Rather negotiate with any other team for their keeper.

Who are the alternatives? Bare in mind United have a recent history of battling to find a long-term #1 and that definitely hurt them. Lloris and Cech are as good as it gets in terms of Premier League experience once you look past DDG, Hart and the two Belgians.

They can't head in to another season expecting to rely on one player getting them in to Europe.

Add onto that tv money and match day money (ticket sales etc.) and it works out to quite a bit.

I dont watch enough goal keepers outside the PL to give you an answer to that, all i know is that Lloris isn't that great and will be overpriced. Cech is good but i doubt Mourinho will sell him to us. DDG is worth more to United for another season than 20 odd million euros. So i think Real need to make a considerable offer for him if they want him.
