I hope nani stays. We need that guy that can do something special from nothing, especially against teams that park the bus.

Mats Hummels has decided against a summer switch to Manchester United.

According to German publication Bild, the central defender wants to see out his Borussia Dortmund contract until 2017.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc said: "It was legitimate that Mats has been thinking about his future. But I have always pointed out that we are planning with him."

Manchester United have signed Belgian goalkeeper Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui from Standard Liege, the Manchester Evening News reports.

The 16-year-old, who was reportedly scouted by Chelsea, has signed a three-year contract at Old Trafford.

Moutha-Sebtaoui joins fellow compatriot and teenager Indy Boonen at Old Trafford, who also joined United earlier this year.

United have rejected a £21m bid for David De Gea from Real Madrid, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Madrid reportedly offered €30m (£21.4m) for the 24-year-old Spaniard but United want at least €40m (£28.6m).

De Gea was named United's Player of the Year and Player's Player of the Year last night but refused to comment on his future.

Only problem i have with this is that i think he will be Carrick's backup or alternate with him. I would rather get a younger player for the future. Unless he sees someone at the club he will groom for the position in which case it would be a good signing to learn from.

Argentinian paper Diario Ole say Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi has agreed terms with the Red Devils.

United are yet to strike a deal with the La Liga club but he does have a £35.6m release clause and could activate it at any moment to land their man.

Schweinsteiger could happen...

A senior figure at United told Starsport: “Yes, Bastian Schweinsteiger is someone we are interested in signing.”

It is understood United chiefs have held talks with the Bayern Munich midfielder, who was in Manchester recently and is open to the move to Old Trafford.

Landing Schweinsteiger from one of their main European rivals would be a huge coup for United as Van Gaal looks to turn his side into champions again.

Van Gaal worked with him during his time as Bayern boss and believes their close friendship can help seal a deal.

And Woodwood has promised the club's fans that United will keep on splashing the cash to support boss Louis van Gaal.

"Regarding this summer's transfer activity, we have already started implementing our plans," Woodward said.

"We expect to be active again during the window, but it's too early to give guidance on transfers or wages at this point."

He added: "Is the squad deep enough to challenge? The squad will be absolutely deep enough and ready to challenge on all fronts, all competitions next year.

"That, as ever, does involve some ins and outs in the summer, which we're not going to guide on in terms of number."
