Di Maria confirms he will remain at United.

"I have just finished my first season playing for Manchester United," Di Maria said.

"Now I will play the Copa America and then I will move back to Manchester for next season and do my best there."

"It was a hard season for me," he added.

"I think it was hard because it was another country and another league, and this league is harder than the Spanish one.

Was there any doubt? WTF would Di Maria leave? 1 season is not enough to prove his worth... next season his going to a tough player to contain

I have to agree, i think if we can sort out our midfield, players like Di maria and Depay will cause serious havoc with their pace next season.

If Di Maria is able to regain form and adjust to the EPL, he is going to be lethal.

Fergie time! Sir Alex Ferguson overseeing £200m summer spending spree at Man United

The pair have been spotted out for dinner with their wives in Manchester.

And according to the Mirror, the pair have been talking through a stunning £200m spending spree.

It's claimed the old and new bosses are working together to help Manchester United sign the world’s best.

Van Gaal wants to bring Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan to Old Trafford this summer.

And the Mirror claim Van Gaal is using Fergie’s contacts to get big deals over the line.

The duo - and their wives Truus van Gaal and Lady Cathy Ferguson - have been having dinner at Van Gaal’s favourite Chinese restaurant in the city.

Fergie has been keen not to be seen as too overpowering his leaving the hotseat in 2013 - but he's known to be close to Van Gaal.

Ferguson, in his role as UEFA's coaching ambassador, will attend the Champions League final in Berlin tonight.

Let's hope it's true.

...

Robin van Persie has revealed the club are set to spend £200m in the transfer market this summer, the Daily Mail report.

Louis van Gaal was given a big budget last year in a bid to return United to the Champions League and he is set to splash the cash again.

Striker van Persie said: "United spent £200m on players last year and they are going to spend another £200m this summer so we will have a team that can compete for the title."

United have been linked with a host of big-money signings including Morgan Schneiderlin, Nicolas Otamendi and Karim Benzema.
